Wraiths are more sprinters. At any rate, athleticism is generally discouraged among the public, although there's probably competitive games at Meny*.
Deject reaches the area where they were first. It's a small chamber where five tunnels meet (one goes up), with one dead boy and a scruffy looking bloke backing away down the one opposite brandishing a FEN 603. We might as well go into bullet time...
Phase 1:
Deject rounds the corner of the tunnel and sees the chamber, with bloke. Bloke brings to bear.
People arrive in the chamber in the following order:
Deject - Phase 2
Mephit - Phase 2
Toast - Phase 3
Grim & Roman - Phase 4
*Domed university city where Operatives train

However, we do want him alive, so I'm trying to knock him out.
So, running past Deject (Mephit doesn't even stop to register the guys armed) Howling incomprehensively...

You're only running past Deject if Deject stops dead. Even at a jog he's faster than you are flat out. However, intentions noted.

I said I was keeping up, not running past them. I'm not taking the lead this time! Sorry if I wasn't clear, but my intention was to give them cover as best I could when they got into the fight.

Right you are Deej, I was making assumptions. You can be there whenever you want to be.
Mephit: -4 for a headshot, -2 for running = 16. You punch him right in the mouth, doing 4 damage. It puts him onto his arse and you all clearly hear a rather sickening crunch. However, he remains conscious.
