I think I would like to cast a spell! I'm looking at Flare, which if successful would dazzle (-1 on attack rolls) the creature for 1 minute unless it makes a Fortitude save.

Not sure if I have to roll anything (I've been reading the handbook and I don't think I need to yet), but the Difficulty Class for the creature's saving throw will be 12 (10 + spell level + Charisma modifier).

Don't you need line of sight for that to work?

Oh yeah, I'm still climbing the ladders aren't I? In that case I shall cast LADDER CLIMB!

I thought Grimmie said earlier that your move action (up the ladder) would take you next to Thor, but I wasn't sure if he meant that was all you could do.

Ah yes, I should be next to you at the start of this turn. Can I cast Flare?

I'ma shoot him again!

Attack!
Roll(1d20)+4:
13,+4
Total:17

Damage!
Roll(1d6)+1:
4,+1
Total:5

!

Even though he's pulling them out, they've gotta be hurting, right?

The ones from Vicious Circle? Up to you how many you left in Bo's possession. He only needs one, and you got three of those.

The wily little thing dodges your arrow, collapsing a leathery wing, a little more aware of the intentions of his roofspace's occupants.

Orovan's turn now, then Monster gets his turn!
I don't like calling him "Monster", somebody suggest a good name.

I just remembered that Thor and Forenrond are meant to be taking -2 on their attacks due to being shaken by Desmond the Demon, this round! Doh.

sorry about that i was trying to figure out if i could somehow attack from the ladder but it would probably result in me just setting glib on fire, so orovan will scurry up to the top of the ladder and assuming i cant make an attack once i reach the top thats my turn up

Shit guys, sorry. I don't even know what I end up doing that eats all my time up.

ROUND 2 - Fight!
Monster
Glibberig (Climbing ladder - will get to top on this turn.)
Forenrond (by tiled opening)
Thor (Presumably inside the loft now)
Orovan (Climbing ladder - will get to top on this turn.)

The creature puffs its pierced chest out, and with a little squelch the arrowhead emerges and plinks to the floor.

It leaps off the book-case and closes the 20ft gap between himself and Thor, lurching forward to scratch the ranger's chest with its razor like claws, slicing through his studded-leather armour. (Rolled an 18, that hits, right?)

Thor takes 1 point of damage, and has to make a Fortitude saving throw to resist poison!

My AC is 15, so 18 should hit if that's how it works.

Ouch!

Fort save:
Roll(1d20)+3:
12,+3
Total:15

..I'm better at reflex saves, but I think you have to blunder into traps for those.
