I say retreat to the doorway and hose the fuckers as they come out of the lift. Which is what I plan to do.

Grenades would be useful.

Youve got plenty of time to get settled and aim up if you want. Waiting till the lift arrives then?

Anything we can do to stop the lift? Either so we don't need to fight or fish-in-a-barrel type thing?

Normally you would do such things by mesh, but the mesh is out. There are probably manual controls as a backup, but they would be next to the lift itself, and probably only consist of a "call lift" button, just like in real life. You could probably pop the panel off and stop the lift by messing with the control innards but you would be racing the lift to achieve that. If you want to give that a go you will need to approach the lift exit and do me a relevant tech skill test.

Ok then, you can both have full aims on the lift when it arrives.

Which it does. There is a faint electronic whir as the lift pops into the room. Its a weird lift if you are not used to micrograv buildings: It is more of a frame that rises up entirely into the room, with handholds around the side to grip on to as it moves. There is a floor on the side facing outwards (in the direction the lift came from) so that when it reaches the torus itself and the artificial gravity has fully kicked in you have something to stand on. There are no walls though.

There are also no passengers. Its completely empty. Make me another perception roll please.

Roll(1d100)+0:
50,+0
Total:50

I *really* don't like this

Nothing happens for a few seconds. Then you hear a voice from behind you.

You can't eat me Yu, you'll break a tooth. Fuck that shit, if I'm going down I'm doing it fighting. These guys don't negotiate. I'll turn as quick as I can (away from Unlabelled) and trigger lock. I don't care how much ammo I spray.

Oh, I should probably point out that you get a -3 to your initiative DP, not a -30

Oh, I forgot about that. Doesn't really matter, if I'd dropped my weapon I'd be even more fucked.

Init 6 (-3)

7,+3

OK then, Yu first, then Unlabelled, then DCOM.

Yu, fairly predictably, opens up on DCOM as soon as you start to move. She fires some sort of plasma weapon at you, hitting you square in the chest. 20 points of damage to you. DCOM is having a bad day. That gives you two wounds (taking you up to a -50 on everything now. Ouch.) and means you need to make a SOMx3 test (with the -50) to not get knocked on your ass (or the micrograv equivalent).

So, when that's done, Unlabelled is up!

My SOMx3 is 60, so that'll be 10.

5, 6: 56 Severe Failure!

Yeah, this is going downhill fast.

Ah! I can ignore the first wound modifier because I'm a synth and don't feel pain. Not that it affects that roll, but I'm taking everything I can get right now.

How close am I? If I'm close enough I'll go with the claws rather than the gun

Good point! You are only on a -40 then.

Close enough to cover the distance with a lunge. She snuck right up on you.
