Looking for anything in particular, or just having a nose?

Well, I'm looking for a dirty great killer corvine primarily, but I'll not ignore anything else interesting I come across.

I probably won't do any speaking once I'm up there - my text is too orangey for ravens.

Is there anything like this in there?

Hahaha.
You don't know, it's still dark and your eyes are still puny.
However, yourself and Forenrond can make a spot check, you'll just be at a slight minus for range in dim light.

16,+5

But with my excellent night vision, I guess all I see is spots from frowning and stoicing so hard.

*Roll* Wow.. Wow, really? Okay.
On the top of one of the bookshelves, off towards the opposite edge (I know, it's circular..) from where Forenrond's emerging, Thor spots a large bird's nest and the outline of a large black bird inside. It appears to be hiding. Poorly.

If Forenrond can see me well enough, I'll flick my eyes up to show him where our bird is. If not, I'll indicate by aiming my bow at it.

The bird stands and spreads its huge wings as you lift your bow towards it.

I sense a cinematic moment where I slowly look up to see this huge bird rearing over me. I just hope it doesn't do a massive dire shit before it takes off.

I shall shoot it before it buggers off. We can always quiz it later on.
Can't remember how to do this, will check when home:
Roll(1d20)+3+1: (Shortbow att. bonus + Point blank shot)
14,+4
Total:18
I also have +2 for favoured enemy: animals, if this counts as a real animal - not sure so I didn't add it on
Damage:
Roll(1d6)+1: (PBS)
6,+1
Total:7
Cheers, WOTC roller. Point blank shot doesn't apply if I'm more than 30' away.

I'll have my bow in hand - I'll switch to the banjo if it gets hairy feathery

Orovan and Glibberig are still at the bottom of the ladder?
Seeing as everyone seems to be getting into their action poses, let's get initiative rolls from everyone :D
