Downtime sent. A couple of public bits:

I'll get in contact with each of you at various points, or in groups if you hang out together, and offer to take you out on the tiles. I've a bit of a nose for night spots, so hopefully I should be able to find something to suit most tastes. Additionally, some might get to meet a couple of my contacts for future reference.

I'll also ask Frank if he minds coming down the firing range with me and checking over my shooting, as well as my Ruger. See if he can suggest any improvements. The shooting is just RP for upping my skill. The Ruger is unmodified, so a little hardware assistance would be much appreciated.

Anyone needs me for anything I'll usually be found at home being harrassed by the AI who is squatting in my house, or out pretending to be a tramp.

Sweet, I didn't spend any money, so that's 8k right into my pockets.
I'll try and write some downtime tomorrow or the day after, whenever I get time to do so.

Well, Frank likes a good drunken fight so you might want to skip that night out.

Frank will of course be very happy to help you with shooting things and any mods you make will be done at discount cost with no labour charges.

Possibly a laser dot on the ruger, it can help with intimidating and will give a +1 to your dice. A skinlink and smartgun with trigger removal job would give +2 and would allow only you to fire it, bit pricier through. Costs would be 80 nuyen for the laser, 280 nuyen for a skinlink, smartgun and trigger removal.

Possibly a pistol with more ammo might be useful however.

Or stock the ruger with some ex-explosive rounds and carry a speed loader with a few reloads?

Leland, after recovering from the bar will begin training himself for Astral Combat (4 karma), and also working on his Counterspelling ability (6 karma).

I'll take Al up on his offer on finding some nightlife, and in a similar offer, if you need anything magic related I am always willing to help out.

Cheers grimmie, in all my calculations I'd forgotten to add the 5k for competing the job and only added the basic monies...

Money's not a big issue with the Ruger, I've about 100 grand in the bank. I like the high life. A skinlink's not an implant is it? I think I've a character somewhere who uses a hat with trodes in a similar way. Could I use them both together? I've got flechette rounds in a quickloader, but no explosive.

Something with more ammo and a rate of fire might be nice, but I'm specialised in revolvers.

Skinlink is on the gun as opposed to you. It makes the gun receive orders through the electro-magnetic impluses in your skin. So you can think about pulling the trigger and the gun will fire, hence the trigger removal. If you smart it up it'll give you ammo count, weapon degradation, barrel temp etc all in a heads up on your pan. Mostly for rp as opposed to combat useful, but Frank uses it to range find with his eyes and doesn't mount scopes on things as a result.

As for the specialisation, you can pay 2 karma for a new one, but you only get the one on each skill. So you could conceivably say Frank trains you in semi-auto pistols and you get better at them as a result.

Frank will be visiting a doctor for a few upgrades. Expect him to twitch a lot when you meet up again.

Well I've got rank 4 pistols and rank 1 automatics, so I could use other stuff, I'm just better with the hand-cannon. I'll have a look over the books at the weekend, but I'm thinking the smart linked Ruger is sounding nice at the moment.

Chopper and Frank are going to be hitting a few cheap dives at some point then. Anyone else want in? Not for the faint of heart...

So you've got pistols 4 (revolvers 6) As a weapon skill? That's not too bad.

I've got 4/5 on my sheet, but maybe I cocked something up. After the lab run I figured it might be worth investing in a way of deading things before they dead me.

:above: that. The 6 is a decent number, add a smart link setup for a +2 and you'll be shooting very few lights.

Semi-auto pistols covers anything from hold out to heavy and would allow you greater scope on guns, ammo and options such as silencers or weapon concealment. But a big revolver seems to sit well with Al.

Just need Grimmie and Romans downtime now, and I'll go through them all. Then we can start the next run!

Sorry, I've been learning how to cook practically all weekend, and I've not had a chance to sit down and even look once at my character sheet.
I'll try and give it a go when I get back from work tomorrow.

Righto people, deadline for Downtimes is tomorrow night. New run will be starting then, any character with no downtime by then will have spent the time inspecting their belly button fluff.
