Newsflash; Matt Nix (creator of Burn Notice) sold a plan for another series to Fox, and it will air next year. It's about some sort of careerist cop teaming up with an alcoholist veteran. I expect it might even work.

Also, Richard Curtis will write one of the episodes of Doctor Who, so you might find the new doctor just wandering around silently doing stupid stuff and yelled at by crazy englishmen.

(if it wasn't obvious)

I just can't help but feel that there are just so many weak-ass plot devices that it's starting to annoy me. I can ignore plot holes better than anyone, but there are just so many you can't avoid them all.

Why is the mechanisms that power the stuff that keeps everything in the warehouse from going crazy uncovered and exposed? Why is there a hole directly over top of them? Why is everything just thrown on a shelf completely unsecured so they can be knocked off with ease? Why is a zip line the only method of transportation aside from walking?

I'm not going to stop watching yet but a lot of these things are really starting to bug me.

Durham County 1st episode was quite interesting. A few murders, 2 badguys (so far) and seems like everyone is a bit messed up. The creepiest part is the mask the youngest daughter wears and so does the neighbor girl.

hmm...turns out to be a 6 part mini-series which is a nice relief. Its a complete story thats not going to get dragged out for 2 seasons...but then cut after 1st season and a full season crammed into the last episode so they can sell a DVD.

Sorry, no rant. After re-watching the season 2 finale, I remembered I was already disappointed in the Marian death and the "We ARE RobinHood" crap.

So, going into the Season 3 I had no expectations and they were met. Although, its kinda funny that Friar Tuck is "Brother" Tuck...and the Brother is a Brother...but other than that...just all sad.

Thanks for the warning :ahoy:

Alone in the Wild - Channel 4
I'm just watching this and it's quite interesting. Reminds me of a real, TV version of Into The Wild. It's a man alone in the wilds of Canada with a camera.

Probably, spoilers. It's not something I'd like to do though, scary.

Coupling strikes me as kind of what Friends would have been like if it was British. Both have their merits. It got shit after Geoff left though.

I hated it when it was first on - thought it was a smug and smarmy version of Friends. Like you said though, they made the characters real. I like Friends, but only in the same way I like popcorn - it's the same thing over and over again without any real substance.

Also, was anyone else slightly disappointed with the Season 2 finale of True Blood?
