Sorry yes, phase 5.

Well I'm going to Blast at the biggun (not Bomb though, given that Eraser is there).

I'll leg it towards the target.

The blast tears a hole in its leg, spilling yet more claret.

78 damage and counting!

78? Christ!
It would have been interesting to hear Daniels' take on the matter before we killed a potentially expensive research project.

I'm sure he'll agree we had no choice. Besides, it would be very bad press if that thing made it off the premises.

We are investigating psycho stormer creations, a stormer creation went nuts at us.
I'd guess it's related, and they won't mind.

Yeah, I'm sure they won't like it, but they have to let us defend ourselves.

As the Low-Wave raises its improvised club for another swing your chainaxe cuts another deep gouge from it. It crashes to the ground, struggling in vain to retain control of its wrecked body.
As the huge fleshy carcass settles you notice something DNA tattooed onto its chest;

Is that normal to have the number tattooed?

It's not standard, they only normally come with a barcode. Whether it's standard practice for individual facilities to number their Stormers, you don't know.

There might be three others around I reckon. Christ, I hope they didn't have a football team...

To the rest of the squad...
Dirk wrote:Guys, be alert - we've just bumped into a Low Wave cranked up on Shatter. Fortunately Eraser managed to take it down, pretty much single handedly. They're not combat trained, but if you get hit by one then, well, good knowing you. It has a number 4 on its chest - we don't know what it means, but let's just assume there are more of them. That said, they won't all necessarily be messed up from Shatter.
To Daniels...
Dirk wrote:Mr. Daniels, bad news - there is a possibility that Stormers are affected by whatever is messing up the Doobries. We found a Low Wave that was out of its mind on Shatter. Looks like it might have killed some of the workers here. The good news is that we managed to take it down before it did any more damage, or worse, escape the facility.
Any idea if there are more of them in here? WE don't know if they'll all be affected, so how would you like us to deal with them?

Daniels wrote:Low-Waves on Shatter? Fuck. Try to capture one. There should be four of them. For christ's sake don't let any get out. Any sign of where the Shatter came from?

Trapping one may be difficult, and will certainly put us in considerable danger. Would there be a bonus for successfully achieving this?
Persuasion:

Smooth.
Edit: In terms of capturing one we'd have to lock down part of the facility I reckon. Unless someone brought some really big handcuffs...

Daniels wrote:Yeah sure. Kill them if you have to, but if you can get one alive I can throw in a few hundred credits.
By the way, the thing the Low-Wave was doing. There's the mangled and chewed remains of a human in the corner of the room. Low-Waves don't have large mouths (or heads for that matter), so it hasn't made a lot of progress eating the corpse.
Also, there's a loud clang from nearby in the facility.
Also also, Grimmie has arrived at the catwalk.
Also also also, Deject gets into the computer system. It has reports waiting to be uploaded. The last couple are fairly mundane, with the final one reporting problems with the Doglies eating the spam.

Dirk wrote:Deej, are you able to shut down parts of the facility from where you are? If we can confine one of these to a small section of the warehouse then that should work.
I'm thinking a place like this would have a design so that certain parts could be locked down to avoid contamination - a bit like a honeycomb of airlocks.
I'm actually thinking of something like the design of the Titanic (the good bit, anyway).

You can't. It's only clean in that it makes food, not that they develop biological weapons here. That terminal is entirely standalone.

Grimmie, give us some tictacs!

Tictacs is more for positioning people around in combat, but it's sort of vague.
Have I seen any sort of areas that could be used to corner a beastie in on my way around, or any equipment that could lower it into the floor/move it out of the way?

Oh yeah. If that don't work, then I dunno what to do.
If I need to scout out the place more with my tictacs then I will.
