That'll do.

Leland notices a girl, halfwayish down the line, giving him the eye. She giggles a bit, and does a little wave, then sways a little. She looks like she's off her tits on something.

Al sees this going on as well, but also recognises the suits who were just let in as two of the guys who were acting as guards for Sensei Kitsune.

Does this look like the sort of club I can get us into with a few well placed 'green tickets'?

Apart from the fact it'll be a wireless money transfer, yeah, you think it would be worth a shot. Probably need some smooth talking to go with it though.

Now that I can do...

Negotiation 5: 1, 1, 3, 3, 6 = 1 hit. Bah.

Etiquette 4, so I don't make a faux-pas: 3, 3, 4, 6 = 1 hit again.

I don't know how much cash to flash, but Al has a decent knowledge of these things so I'll let you decide that.

can I try and use my fame for this or is that something which just happens?

Also, do I still need to make the roll, and if so how do I do it?

Don't you add charisma to those rolls?

Yeah Dog Pants, you need to roll for your Attribute as well as the skill.

Oh cool, that's a lot better. I'll roll the bones once I get home.

Right, with 5 charisma I can add:

4, 4, 5, 5, 6 = 3 more hits to Negotiation

and

1, 2, 2, 3, 5 = 1 more hit to Etiquette.

Rah!

In that case I won't bother rolling my -1 dice 8)

Am I too late to see if I know anything useful about the people mentioned so far with my knowledges?

I think that girl is probably on this new Tempo shit. I bet if we could get in with whoever's dealing from the club we could find our mark.
I'll try my hand at negotiation as well.

Negotiation (5) + Charisma (4): 9 dice. 5,3,5,6,4,1,1,1,5 - 4 hits

It'd be a standard node hacking attempt. Make, say, 10 rolls for the extended test, and I'll tell you how many you needed :)

As for the rest of you, Al's smooth talking, understanding of appropriate etiquette and 30 nuyen get you past the bouncer with minimal fuss. You enter the club.

There's a large dance floor, with loud music, smoke and flashing lights, covered with young people dancing like tits. To the right of the dance floor is a bar, rammed with people. To the left is an area with seats and tables, with a glass wall keeping the volume down a little. There's another bar there, considerably less busy than the main one. A variety of people are sat around, drinking and laughing. You just catch sight of the suited guys talking to a couple of much more causal looking guys in the "quiet area", before they all disappear through a door at the back. The causal guys are dressed a bit more "punk", but the large number of detailed tattoo's suggests they are also Yakuza.
