After chatting to Deej about our characters the other day I discovered that by pure coincidence we're both alcoholics with a good knowledge of whiskey.
Mine is something along the lines of rich kid with corporate parents. Useless at business so inherits a role as a Mr Johnson. Gets a bit twitchy after a few mates 'retire' so decides to turn runner himself. He's still a flash bastard in a suit though.

Henry "Big Chopper" Ackerman
Born and raised in the downtown suburbs of New Malton, Henry Ackerman never thought that he'd amount to much. For the most part, he was right. Flunking out of school at the age of 16 with few qualifications (and even fewer manners) he went on to a series of dead end jobs before ending up in the New Malton Fire Department.
Life in the FD was never that exciting - a few fires, numerous cats up trees. Until that is, the outbreak of the Great Plague. Whether caused by meteorites, magic or even SCIENCEā¢, all people know is that it turned 90% of New Malton's population into bloodthirsty maniacs. The government acted quickly and quarantined the entire suburb, trapping the feral hordes inside along with the few that were naturally immune - including Henry.
Grabbing a fire axe from the Fire Department's equipment cupboard, he set off through New Malton cutting a bloody swathe through the clamouring hordes. It was at this time that Henry was Awakened - in touch with magic he focused the new power into improving his efficiency with an axe (and in fact a whole host of other bladed weapons).
There was, however, one incident that scarred Henry mentally, and still haunts him to this day. At the time of the Plague, a Furry Convention had been visiting town. For several days and nights Henry was pursued through the streets of New Malton by fur clad, blood crazed perverts. To this day his blood still runs cold at the sight of fur.
Henry eventually escaped the blockades of New Malton, his body (although maybe not his mind) intact. Bitter at the government for having abandoned him to his doom, Henry took to a life of crime as a Runner, wielding his weapon of choice, and by now his new moniker, the Big Chopper.

I'm thinking I should give my character a real name instead of the current deejy weejy, but I am entirely out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Pick out a nationality of name you want, then google it to get a surname. It's how I get all the SLA NPCs.
I finished my background but it's a side and a half so I'll not spam the forum with it.

Basque
English
Esperanto
Frisian
Hungarian
Swedish
Transformer
and First name only. both Leland and Wilmot were first names but I think it works

I wish I was playing this, my character would be called Stelian Dumitrascu. What a cool name.
