I'd be surprised if Bum Notice got cancelled for just that reason, not to mention the end of season double ep promises much goodness.

Generic, cardboard cut out characters, written by someone who's been watching too much Quincy, CSI and fucking Casualty. Pull your finger out BBC! Stop spewing out this fucking drivel, get over your own over inflated opinion of yourselves, and make some decent TV.
I think I've swept episode 10 of bum notice now, how many are in the season? It's silly, but it's entertaining - it allows you to switch off your brain and just chuckle a bit for an hour.
First ep aired last night. I swept it out of curiosity. I'm sure I don't need to explain the plot, it's a re-make of the 70's show. Once you get past the fact that the Bionic Woman is played by Michelle Ryan (of Eastenders fame) it shapes up fairly well. Ryan fakes (to me, at least) a decent Merkin accent and the effects are pretty good.
I'll be watching the first few to see how it goes. Worth a sweep.
merkins are generally fucking awful at putting on an accent of any kind, even yankee's trying redneck and vice-versa sounds like its not even merkin. Have to say though, I think the 'noo yoik' accent is fucking great.

I like the chick..she was Jekyll's assistant...much hotter with the red hair
Its weird with the BBC America releases...seems you only have a few actors/actresses and they are on every show. Also in Jekyll is one of the chicks from Coupling. And Jekyll was a lead in another show.
As far as bionic woman goes...man they thru everything into the pilot...the setup...the accident...the surgery...the bionics...and a major villain. Kinda funny to see Miguel Ferrer making another "Robocop". I hope they slow it down a bit to actually develope something good.
