You can take them off at level 30 or 50, I believe.spoodie wrote:I tried it the other night but was put off by the lack of any non-furry characters and it's a little too cutesy for me, but I will try again at some point.
It's only taken me a few days to get to 17, so you'd only have to play for a little while before you can take off your kitty ears :3
Tried it for a while expecting something like Ragnarok, but it's way more complicated than RO. Totally not newbie friendly. Being forced to buy my first offensive skill as a magician as opposed to them appearing once I leveled enough...and being confused by 3 different stats to upgrade for the four main stats(I have to separately put points into magic defense, magic attack, and magic recharge? What happened to just having a stat for magic/intelligence that affects those 3?) were the straw which broke the camel's back.

In parts, I find Ragnarok a lot harder to get a hang of.
The leveling system as a lot more friendly, with your TM (Skill Levels) going up as you kill things and find items, and your regular levels going up as you hit things.
The skills aren't too hard to get a hold of - a trainer in each major town, and they're cheap as dirt too, though I agree Rag's system of being able to grab a new one right away was nice, this one at least makes more sense, having to go buy a card to read before learning a new ability.
Stats are a little complicated, but the website gives a brief explanation of what each of them do, and it's much more satisfying to see the skill points you invested in a certain stat coming into play, instead of having them spread out in skill areas you didn't want to spend valuable points in. Mages use blue, models use orange, fighters use red etc etc.
Ragnarok was also a lot bigger, and difficult to navigate around. Though neither have a world map as such (there were decent maps for rag on the net, admitedly), Trickster has a decent system of showing you where items and creatures can be found for a quest as they come along - and the quests have the variety of a 'find and retrieve' and 'monster hunting' quests too.
All I'll say is give it a little time and play with our group - It's much more fun to hit things in a team and help each other out than it is to beat a million crabs into submission on your own.

That's the deal with any MMONG though isn't it? Eve's massive success here is down to 5punkorp being an enjoyable group to be part of, and CoH wasn't a brilliant game but the stuff you could do with 5punkers made it fun. Trickster's big selling point for us, I think, is that it's free and so we're not wasting money by just wasting time together fannying about and seeing what mischief we can get up to.Grimmie wrote:All I'll say is give it a little time and play with our group - It's much more fun to hit things in a team and help each other out than it is to beat a million crabs into submission on your own.
My personal opinion of the game is that it's a pretty shallow, generic Korean grindathon, and without the 5punkers I'd get bored of it within a couple of days. As it happens a few of us have picked it up and it's quite entertaining to get on TS and do a bit of interaction. I can't see it catching on in the long term though unless there are more interesting things to do later on.
The bunnies are people, but I hear PvP does exist (I don't know if they've put it in yet). There are lots of octopussies though, in both Hula and Grumpy variety.mrbobbins wrote:Do they have endless bunnies to kill?, and funny hats?, and baddies that look like cocks?
No cocks so far.

I saw on their website there are mushroom type things.mrbobbins wrote:Do they have endless bunnies to kill?
I hope they squeak when they die, that would complete my MMO experience.
Also, everyone can get pets, maybe even a in later levels.. WHO KNOWS?
They have funny hats and silly masks and strange shields, yes.
