Re: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Shall we get this show on the road before it gets forgotten about? I'll get started on friday afternoon (if I remember), which gives the stragglers a few days and a deadline to work to. It's not really a deadline, we can wait if someone wants to get in from the start, but we could tail off forever so at least we have a target. I can always add more players later. Yes/no?

Yes! I know you're waiting on me, but I'm nearly done.
Re: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Not just you, Roman and Jock expressed interest too. The more the merrier, and if anyone else is still keen but is struggling to find the time then that's no problem.

Re: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Just for clarification before I finish my sheet off:
When you've got talents that permanently affect starting stats (ie, a +5%), would you add it to your stat generation roll or to the base stats? I've assumed the latter.

Re: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
I added them to the stats rolled. Otherwise it would count as an advance, which it isn't (and that's good because your advances are the upper limit of your stats).

Re: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Pantsu, I've uploaded a draft of my char sheet to Dropbox, could you check it over and make sure I've not done anything daft.
Suprisingly not a straightforward char gen system in this game.

I spotted it land! I'll have a look tomorrow when I'm not thinking about D&D (two systems at once confuses me). It's not straightforward, no. Not the worst I've played though by a long shot (and not as bad as 1st ed).
EDIT: I have looked at it, but beer + D&D means I can't brain it at the moment

Re: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Er, as I've just had a brain spaz I need to question something as I've confused myself.
Take a starting stat of 20. Add a talent of +5% and it gives you...?
A) 21
20 + 5%
or B) 25
Via treating the starting stat as a percentile (20%) and add 5%.

Re: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Yeah, Joose had that problem. The stats are percentages which are the base used for skills, and the advances are absolute, so a +5% increase on 20% is 25%. It would probably be simpler just to not use the percent symbol.
Re: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Looks okay to me, I just made the adjustment we discussed above.
