You're probably missing the per user volume controls.

No, I've tweaked them here and there.

Mulling over it I think it could be my soundcard settings, notably the fact I've turned on the Stereo Sound option in my EAX CMSS settings. Massively improves audio quality (and volume) for stereo sources but has an issue with mono sources (TS is mono).

No it doesn't. It just adds crap to make it sound better through inferior hardware.

I beg to differ. I'd say the majority of the effect is probably boosting the low mids of the signal, certainly the bass is meatier.

Either way, we're springing off topic from 5punkcast.

That's not improving quality, that's just distorting the source.

Okay, pick a news story if you want to play along. That will be 'yours'.
Research it enough to be able to talk about it for at least 60 seconds.

Yes, we might have all read it, but that allows us then to have a short discussion about it. The listeners may not know about it at all - in fact, that might be why they want a gaming podcast in the first place.

Nice work Grimmie. We might actually have too much material there, but better too much than too little. Bags the Introversion article.

Also, saturday is fine by me.

I can probably do Friday or Saturday this week. I don't know that much about most of those topics though, so I hope that revision isn't necessary!

Added Worms Reloaded / Plain sight to the list of games to chat about.

Don't have to go through the whole lot in one podcast, that post is just sort of my brainfart of inspiration.

Think I'll ask everyone what they've been playing recently when we do the intros, too.

I can do Sunday, but I feel like I might not be able to add much to the whole thing, as I'm really, really poor at debates. I can talk shit though.

I can do either I think, but a bit later in the evening (9ish onwards) is probably easier.
