I even had someone convo me and accuse Mysterlee of being an alt of Babycow! If anyone's ever heard them on Vent you'd get the joke

Our defence was assisted in no small part by the fact that RA/Goon were twatting some Maelstrom POS's last night. However, Prax hardly showed up either so that evens it out imo.
Next thing to happen will be another huge blob to take Tycho like the one we saw last Friday. I'm not certain we're in position to defend against that without support, let alone take back KDF, so let's hope LV can come to play. Otherwise we're a bit fecked. Either way, if ISSN sit around doing fuck all like last time I'll be in there with a suicide fleet taking it to the bastards until CCP runs out of Ibis's.

If you havn't done so, read this Strategic Overview on the ISS forum (you may recognise the grammatical style
). It gives a rough overview of who's involved and why. It also hints at the plans for the new shape of ISS. There has been a lively discussion on the closed forums about the transformation that ISS is undergoing and the part the Alliance will play in the future Eve universe. Ironically, this little war has accelerated a lot of what they wanted to achieve with the Alliance anyway. Where ISS goes next is a question that is particularly interesting and narf quite exciting. If we pull off even some of what they're suggesting then I'll be staying here for some time. Without going into too many details, take everything we've been dreaming for as a corp, and multiply by 500 billion.
Any chance you might give me a suitably censored version of that topic. I know you can't just blurt out stuff to me as I am not part of ISS anymore, but anything you can say would be great. Maybe in a PM?
For some stupid reason I wrote to the forums person and asked for my access revoked. Why oh why...

Strategic Overview
This is an analysis of our current situation and some relevant information pertaining to the situation in Northern Catch.
Enemy. IAC, Goons, SoD, KIA, D2, IMP and AAA. Of note though Xenobytes have just left AAA and are heading further into Stain.
IAC have not expressed their intention clearly other than to say they wanted some 'shooty shooty with ISS'. However, implicit in their actions is that they want to expand their territory in Catch and the ISS station in ZX and KDF provide the vehicle for that expansion. It is not believed that they will make a move on Tenerifis nor do they appear to be interested in the Providence.
We know that D2 were paid by IAC, but they had an ulterior motive for taking Cassini - it used to belong to TRUST (now subsumed into D2) before BOB took it off them and handed it over to ISS for administration. Some political theorists see this as D2 throwing down the gauntlet to BOB. It is possible that once they have Pure Blind, D2 will concentrate on consolidating their hold in the North whilst continuing to try and get a foothold in Period Basis by taking the FIX station. ISS is not their main target but they remain hostile.
AAA reportedly have a 'plan for the IAC stations', presumably capital ship assembly. Beyond that they are simply after a fight and remain hostile to ISS. What, if any, impact Xenobytes leaving has remains to be seen.
Goons are believed to be involved because it gives them a chance to prosecute their campaign against LV from a new front and they have reportedly been long time allies of IAC. However, the infiltration and successful sabotage of the F4 POS by a Goon spy was a devastating blow to ISSN and the campaign, allowing IAC to regain the system by surprise whilst severely damaging the moral and will to fight of ISS.
Friendly horses. ISS, Ushra'Khan, Tyrell, SERA. Also LV although they're tied up with RA and friends and FIX who are tied up with IRON and D2 in their home systems.
KDF has been taken by IAC and F4 will fall when sov flips within the next 5 days. Tycho still stands and will be the stage for the next defensive effort. Meanwhile our horses rally in Fabrica for future ops. MC are still an option, and they now have a Leviathan of their own, but they cost and our private funds are not limitless. Despite BD's best efforts we remain on good terms with our allies.
Contingencies. What if the stations in Catch do fall? Chances are that IAC will sanitise the local area around the Catch stations to consolidate their hold on the region. In this case ISS will make every effort to defend corp assets and where possible remove them to safety. Meanwhile we will make every effort to counterattack and retake our stations. If we are forced to admit defeat in Catch we will still have 4 stations from which to operate and we will prove a very unpleasant neighbour for IAC's operations.
The ISS IPO, our public fund, continues to be very healthy. As of last night, half the shares had been sold. Although investors in the individual Marginis IPO will lose out when (and if) the stations fall to IAC, this should not be attributed directly to mismanagement when we have clearly demonstrated a willingness to arrive at a peaceful solution that best protects our investors' interests.
We have many other projects that will ensure the continue profitability of the ISS IPO and regardless of whether we have any stations at all these will continue to function. ISS as a business will continue to adapt, expand and flourish come what may. We will live to fight another day.
