Being a prolific collector of vendor trash I absolutely have to open and check anything with spangly bits coming off it. So I'm well used to frequent trips to shops. This :above: is a great tip and one that is very easy to forget.

Here's my random thoughts, I realise most of us beard a lot and I may be preaching to the choir, but I forget a lot anyway so maybe this'll help jog memories -

f5 is quicksave, use it and proper saves to stop the headache of losing your char after a hundred hours or having a long conversation followed by a battle followed by a reload when you died just to do all the talking again.

I find armour fills space a lot faster than you think, an example is leather armour, it might be cured, hardened, etched or studded and none of them stack. Keep your chars updated and sell all the rest.

Regardless of price, you may decide a cheaper armour piece works better for the char than something that's worth twice the price.

You may well have noticed that if you buy things of a type you already have, sometimes they just don't stack properly. Healing kits are a good example. If you make sure everything is dragged together into nice neat piles of stuff then you can get a few spaces.

The dwarf with the retard son sells bags that expand inventory. Leaving to go back straight away re-stocks him I think. He also has unlimited flasks for pots.

If all else fails it's just a case of turn all ingredients into potions and drink more during a fight, poison all blades, throw all bombs etc.

Bin the shittiest stuff for better paying items and fill in every possible space on your chars for rings, hats, alternate weapons and necklaces along with throwing gifts about as much as you can.

Doggie can sometimes be sent off to find things and he'll return with a nice piece of kit that fetches a few gold.

If an armor item is only (.something) better and 2x the fatigue, FUK the fatigue! I go with the lower armor/fatigue.

Afaik, items only don't stack when you're in the shop screen as they are set apart for the "buyback" option. Once you close the shop screen, everything auto stacks.

Restocks bags? Running back to camp now!

Doggie fetched me a "Piece of Wood" which turned out to be quite a nice staff for Morrigan even still at lvl 10. Mostly he just gets gifts, +1's I think. Also, if you're using him, make sure he pisses on the landmarks so he gets bonuses for that area.

I have 3 days to play then I'm out of town for 3weeks

Gems are for selling. Other than that, everything has a use if you want.

Poisons take up way too much room. I think the rogue should have a lab a camp to store all her crap. So far, I've really only used the acid flasks and deathroot extract, but I'm not the kind to sell off the other stuff...yet.

Are you sure the gems are only there to be sold? I've been offloading them into my party chest at Soldier's Keel (thanks, Premium Content!) on the off chance that they're used for something.

Well, Aki told me to sell them! lol He's like 16 now? and hasn't told me different.

That would be just sucky if we needed to hold onto them from lvl 1 and then need them at LVL 20 !

Yeah, I haven't found a use for them yet, and I haven't seen anything yet that told me I should be holding on to them. They are not grouped in with the rest of the crafting mats, and they are at the end after the gifts. I just figure they are npc fodder for small amounts of silver.

I use the party chest for all the armor/weapons that are just too good to sell, and poison/trap mats in case I ever feel like maybe using them.

I just stuck Alistair in an almost full suit of Ancient Elven armour. Looking at him in the inventory screen I can almost see him mouthing the words "I look like a twat, Pants".

Alistair is in Templar armour now. He's still a raving homo though.

And this is the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate. Gems are cash items.

Just done the Elven curse quest. Brilliant ending. I'm really liking what they've done with the stories in the game.

Whats this talk of a party chest? Soldiers keep you say? I'll have a gander.

Also, Wardens Keep was quite good. Shorter than I expected though, but good.

That was my favourite bit so far, plus my rather exuberant use of powerful AoE spells caused me to get the achievements for both outcomes simultaneously.

O rly? I must have missed this fabled party storage chest then, unless I've misread previous comments.

After completing the quest, leave and go back after a bit and it's all tidied up for you. The chest and various other bits are in the courtyard.

I just got my
Spoiler:
first ambush (by the elven assassin), I took down all of the swordfighters and the mage, but the archers turned me into a shishkebab in the end. I'll try luring them to a more narrow pass where the archers can't hit me next.
Also,
Spoiler:
I did the zombie quest, and went for the ending where you sacrificed the mother and killed the demon with Morrigan, mainly because I couldn't be arsed going to the mage's tower. Do get significant items or other benefits if you go to the mage's tower first?

Ah, lovely. I've not been back yet since I did the quest so that'll be my next stop so I can drop off my full set of Blood Dragon armour.

Incidently, does this game have a concept of time? It appears not but I'm not sure if the black stain which represents the Blight is actually moving on my world map or if it's just a pretty part of it like the blood drops are.

Ref MJ and the Redcliffe castle decision;
Spoiler:
I saved them both. Didn't make any difference as I would be doing the Circle anyway at some point. I'm not sure it made any difference really, but I feel better. Possibly it'll have some bearing when you get the Erl up. I'm just on my way to do that, so I'll let you know.

Yeah and make sure you completed the History of Soldier's Keep quest thing because you can't get back inside as far as I can tell.
