Did someone press pause? You're wearing out the closeup of the contact.

:above: I am mostly better now though.

Negotiation 5 + CHA 5 = 10

2, 1, 6, 4, 1, 3, 4, 5, 1, 3: 2 hits. Bah.
Ms Johnson wrote:I'm afraid I cant tell you much more than that about the job. It could be basic, but it also might not. We cant take the risk of regular investigator getting out of his depth. Depending on your performance in this job, however, there may be further work available for you. More interesting work, maybe.
Dog Pants wrote:And a perception roll to see if there's any reaction to my insinuations;

Perception 3 + INT 4 = 7

1, 4, 4, 1, 4, 3, 5: 1 hit.
Not really.
Finally, do I know anything about these guys or the First Nations?

Seattle Street Gangs 2 + INT 4 = 6

2, 2, 6, 6, 1, 2: 2 hits.
You know a fair bit on the First Nations: They are a reasonable sized gang, mostly concerned with the docks to the north of the ACHE, and some of the Everett waterfront, but they have almost total control over an area called the Verge (a rather nasty Z-zone, covered in shit from the Redmond lava flows, crappy wireless coverage, almost non-existent sanitation). They are led by an amerindian elf called Blood-of-the-buffalo. Until fairly recently, they were used as grunts by the Shotozumi-rengo in exchange for large amounts of money and gear, but apparently they have recently broken ties with the yakuza to make a name for themselves.

Other than the fact the guys in the photos certainly look like First Nations gangers, you don't know anything about them.

Al wrote:Okay. Well lets call this an opener with a view to better work, should we perform satisfactorily. Be aware that you get what you pay for though. If this becomes any more than a basic observation job we'll have to re-negotiate.

I'll casually assess the moods of my contemporaries.

Anyone want to chip in before I close the deal? Aside from Chopper and Frank that is.

N-zo is playing with his com, and seems oblivious.

I'll give Al a nod. I guess if it's getting too risky we can either demand more or just forget about it and report what we can tell without too much risk.

Fair enough.

She stands, fetches a certified credstick with the half up front payment on, and hands it to Al. She then shakes your hand and leads you out to the back door.

So whats the plan?

Still, job first, play later.

I gotta say ciao for now baby, but you can bet that sweet ass of yours I'll be back!
Frank stands up and waves at the girls credit collector. She sees the amount and flashes him a big smile and blows him a kiss.

He wanders across the titty bar
Frank wrote:Chopper, you heard the elf. Time to rock and roll. Lets leave the bar snacks and the women to it.
Frank wrote:We're heading out now gents. With you in a couple.
