See that? that's your problem that is.
Azureus is a fucking dog and should not be used.
http://www.utorrent.com/ is considerably better.
A quick check reveals the exact same problem in utorrent too. Well, not *exactly* the same. utorrent seems slower.

Something might be worth checking is the process priority for them both isn't equal. They might both be set as Low, but the Folding app has more going on , killing the floor sweeping.
Torrents suck, usenet FTW.
(Tho azureus always seemed to be the best last time I touched it - even if it is dirty dirty dirty Java.)

I dunno, I'm a big fan of the default bit torrent client. Never had a problem with speeds on it (but I guess that's a seed thing instead of a client thing) and it doesn't lag my computer massivly.

Usenet costs me £8.50 per month, but for that I can download anything that has ever been swept (pretty much) at 230kb/s (always always always) with nobody downloading from me at all. The only upstream traffic is TCP ACK packets. :-)
And 0 upload = online games while downloading. :-)

I now have pretty close to 150gb's of music, so £8.50 a month when I can wait a bit longer isn't really worth it for me, I find the occassional thing n there I can't find in a torrent, but hey, when I have a job, and more than about 30gb's free on average, I will proberly re-invest, I want to hit the 500gb mark on music, then I might be happy

I am currently lacking in monies, so anything that involves a cost is not doable. Otherwise, trust me, I would be abusenet-ing every damn thing.

Are you using the GUI or console based software? I scoffed at claims that the GUI version caused problems until I actually had one myself and had to switch the console version. It may not be as user friendly but at least it doesn't minimise the games I'm trying to play.

I presume you mean the folding software. Im using it installed as a service, no horrible GUI-ness for me.

Finally remembered to install this. Console version seems fairly easy to use, but as of my next restart I'll have it running as a service. Now, to cure bad AIDS.

Worst case scenario? Your CPU ignites on fire and burns down your house. But that probably won't happen.
