I'll nominate myself for stupidest quote of the year.
No, I just jumped in there when it occurred to me. Someone else would have done if I didn't I expect.FatherJack wrote: Not sure if we decided to do this elsewhere, but anyway:
I don't know if you've been paying this close of attention, but it's mostly us poking joose to do his GM stuffs.FatherJack wrote:Master of the Rings
For sterling effort in keeping the Shadowrun game going, which while most of us aren't directly involved a lot of us have been following, it's Joose.
But he's always delivered eventually, kudos to the players for keeping it going, too.deject wrote:I don't know if you've been paying this close of attention, but it's mostly us poking joose to do his GM stuffs.
These are nominations (with a bit of lobbying), we'll do the votes later after everyone's had a chance to put names forward and champion their heroes, and DP's had the less-than eviable task of generating the shortlists. At least, I think that's how it usually works.HereComesPete wrote:I was going to say maybe we should split them for less mess. But the lack of voting means it's not exactly no room at the inn round here. More like tumble weed and the stink of apathy. Hopefully more votes will arrive in the next few days.
Now, obviously you haven't thought about the role of special infected enough. (now I'm assuming you mean that humans have advantage over infected, because if you mean it the other way around all I can say is that it's a load of bullshit) Some people assume that the zombie horde only serves as a distraction and that the specials are the ones who should kill. Wrong. The zombie horde is a devastating power for which you must provide a way to kill humans and therefore it's the special infected who should be a distractive horse - if you get a kill, then it's a bonus. L4D Versus is the most balanced DM-esque gameplay I've seen in a long while.FatherJack wrote:and with balance in versus
Yeah. We're a bit late this year so I'll put the vote threads up tomorrow.FatherJack wrote: These are nominations (with a bit of lobbying), we'll do the votes later after everyone's had a chance to put names forward and champion their heroes, and DP's had the less-than eviable task of generating the shortlists. Indeed. Puking on a downed survivor or even one a smoker has grabbed results in their death so very quicklyThe zombie horde is a devastating power</i>

I'm goona go with Roman here
I meant team balance, as everyone always seems to want to be Infected, leaving being a Survivor less fun, but you've played it lot more than I have, so maybe it evens out better beyond what I've experienced.Baliame wrote:Now, obviously you haven't thought about the role of special infected enough. Yes, unfortunately that shows the epic tardness of the randoms, because it's pretty much a no-brainer that everyone will play as both sides.FatherJack wrote: I meant team balance, as everyone always seems to want to be Infected, leaving being a Survivor less fun, but you've played it lot more than I have, so maybe it evens out better beyond what I've experienced.
