[EDIT]
destructionalistic
From ancient lore, meaning a Wizard or Sorcerer who specialises in absolutely annihilating things.
'I hear old Marlin demolished an ivory tower the other day' 'Yeah, he's becoming awfully destructionalistic'

Level 40? I thought it capped off at 30. Also, wouldn't Daedric armour start spawning on bandits and things around level 20, anyway? I'm only level 23/4 and head of pretty much everything.Roman_Totale wrote:Level 40 now and head of the Fighters Guild too![]()
I've finally started doing the main mission now and have closed about 20 gates so far (I didn't realise a load would start opening up outside cities and I'm getting bored of them now).
I've also got a smashing set of DIY enchanted Deadric armour.

All the bandits I've seen mostly have glass armor. The only other people I've seen with Daedric armor are Blackwood Company henchmen - but even they haven't got the full sets.
My helmet isn't Daedric though, I'm using the Helm of Oeryn Bearclaw (which is one of the god knows how many treasures of Tamriel) which fortifies endurane and agility.
I also highly recommend doing the Deadra Shrine missons - you get some damned cool bonuses for completing them.

Yar, I've completed all the Daedric shrines. In fact I've just completed the whole game - main story, mage's guild, fighter's guild, dark brotherhood, thieve's guild.
I got a posh set of armour for completing the main story - and it's not as good as the set I was wearing anyway.
I like Oblivion, but I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of variety in the missions. The Dark Brotherhood ones are a classic example. Reading the pre-release reviews I was expecting a series of very tricky missions where you have to be subtle about the way you kill someone. Whilst this is true of a few missions, the rest are just hack and slash.
I blame the lack of internet for playing this so much (at least it won't show in my Xfire stats).

I don't know - I really liked the "Murder in the Dark Party" one, just describing how I had to kill everyone without the others seeing and how I sucked up to all the guests so they would like me and suspect each other has made at least two people want to play the game.Roman_Totale wrote:I like Oblivion, but I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of variety in the missions. I'm still such a low level that I don't see any Daedric stuff yet, best I've found is Dwarven
The haunted mansion in Anvil was quite fun, too. The only thing that stops me playing constantly, though is still the loneliness factor I mentioned before - while I can offset that by posting my meagre victories here, I'd recommend players find a way to play with other people watching at least, with the PC, or (more likely) 360 in a shared room.
I've also mentioned before that (exactly like Morrowind) I see this release becoming even more popular when the average PC catches up, but that's probably also true of the 360 release when the (already dipping) price of the console gets sensible and they get some exclusive must-have titles.
Also, if the PS3 or Revolution had bug-fixed versions as release-time titles they'd be sure-fire winnars.

This^. Most of the quests are surprisingly original, especially when you think of the sheer number of the damn things.FatherJack wrote:I don't know - I really liked the "Murder in the Dark Party" one, just describing how I had to kill everyone without the others seeing and how I sucked up to all the guests so they would like me and suspect each other has made at least two people want to play the game.Roman_Totale wrote:I like Oblivion, but I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of variety in the missions. Maybe my version is broken then because they all practically ran into seperate rooms with little encouragement. I killed one guy in his bed, a fraction of a second letter the door opened, someone stepped over his corpse and got into the still warm bed.M4niachicken wrote:That truly was the mack daddy of all game quests ever, its fuggering awesome. I just sighed, shut the door again and brutally murdered him in his sleep.

Yes, it wasn't quite perfect. I was a little bemused when, after killing one of them, I went downstairs, and was told by one of the others that "Did I know, so-and-so has been killed!?". I found it funny that I persuaded one of them to attack one of the others, under the impression that that one was the murderer.Roman_Totale wrote:Maybe my version is broken then because they all practically ran into seperate rooms with little encouragement.
