Being able to see the telephone exchange from my house helps. Also I'm with Sky - must be submissive to Easynet

Same here. Sky is using Easynet LLU.
Dunno why my speed is twice yours, i'm about 500m from the exchange.
Are you on the £10 package as well?

Unsure. Pay £22 a month for interwebnets (fiver I think), free home phone and Telly (two packages).

Best I could do

Symmetric 1Gb link that is on a very old box with 100M ports. Everything is Flash 7 which is a bitch.

Image

http://sod.ms/fast/ said 280M from another box

Does this mean via the laws of sports-car compensation that I have the smallest willy? :)

That kind of speed suggest you have such a small cock that it's actually a groinal innie not an outy.

Raped virgin - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7483675.stm

It's a bit rich coming from BT with there up to 8mb type services which usually provide significantly less. I would prefer that the throttling was not in place, but I understand why it's there and if you manage your large downloads a bit you can transfer a whole lot of data. The only real shock is that with a 10mb line you hit the thresholds fast.

Yay upgrade! Did have to ring and point out I was due the upgrade though.

They tried to fob me off but their own webshite said upgrades were already complete in newcastle. She was all 'I'm just sending things to your router' and I was thinking, no you're not! You're just pressing a few buttons on the pc in front of you!

That sort of thing pisses me off. I hope you told her that?
I'm fed up of phone/broadband/computer etc people talking absolute shite to the customer. I bet they get away with it so often, but the one time someone knowledgeable catches them out they should be made to feel like the bit of lying callcenter shit they are.
