Worth buying a soundcard?

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

I've got the Plantronics Audio 70 headset, and I'm really impressed how something so small can throw the sound around.

I think that's why I'm so shit when in Teamspeak, because otherwise I can tell exactly where footsteps are coming from in game.

I have a question to throw into the mix!
If I wanted to stream my music wirelessly, can I get a soundcard with built in wireless, or is the only way to go to get a wireless card for my pc, and a seperate audio card.

Eventually planning to buy one of those boxes that allow you to play all your music collection using the wireless connection of your PC, and wondered if there was anything out there integrated with soundcards.

Onboard sound isn't really good enough for what I'm after.

Wireless Router and Xbox meedja center does it for me, I don't think any sound cards have wireless streaming built in.
