I wouldn't mind some better armour, but I like to stay inconspicuous. What are armoured jackets like? I think at the moment I just have a set of armoured street clothes and an actioneer suit. I noticed some nice stuff in the armoury book actually, I might look into that.

You might want some Actioneer Business Clothes or something like that.

Armoured jackets are too conspicuous for your guy doggers unless it's form fitted (I think you can form fit them). You can have the armour in your suit upped by an an armourer to a certain degree, but it's quite expensive.
But with a bit of RP/nod from joose you can just have a long armoured coat thing like deej, then say it's a posh leather version so it's not out of place.
Joose gm'd a rule that when multiple types of armour are worn, instead of ignoring the weakest set of armour completely, he's add a bit of a bonus for it being worn. The only way to stack armour completely is to have one set labelled as form fitting, and it costs more.
I'll have my guy sorted by later tonight, quick trip back to masham for my sisters birfday has overrun because I went to the brewery for moar beer.
Joose intends to roll the new run out without me in at the start so I won't be on hand straight away for supplying/fixing/modding stuff.

Everyone, I has finished my character! I had it finished in the early hours of this morning, then when Joose appeared and I sent it to him I noticed his spreadsheet doesn't add the cost of extra edge to the totals, so I've jiggered my dudes stats/skills again and he's ready. Just need to Joose to be online to okay the build.
DP - The mortimer of London/vashon island synergist stuff is highly tailored and rather expensive, but they will offer better levels of protection. A mortimer greatcoat is 3k and offers 6/5 with +2 chemical protection, +2 insulation protection and -2 to concealability, all the wool and silk hides guns better I guess. Add synergist business trousers and shirt (700 nuyen) for + 2/1 and you've got 8/6, quite formidable numbers considering it's not heavy combat armour. Mind you, that may be encumbering, depending on your body attribute.
Joose, get back online so you can okay my character. I want to shoot stuff!
