Nice! He completely fails to dodge, so roll for damage.

Re: Eclipse Phase: Glory
Your claws dig through what remains of his torso, further spraying blood and gore across the room. Theres a small cloud of meaty bits floating around you now as the body continues to pump blood into the low gravity atmosphere. He goes limp, and although you can see from the bloody spittle around his mouth that he is still breathing you doubt he is going to last much longer.
The gardening drones start cleaning up the plants and pruning back the leaves damaged in the fight.
What now?

Intimidation roll just in case (although I guess I have some useful modifiers): 16

Frankly I'm impressed that I may have failed to intimidate him given the circumstances!

Re: Eclipse Phase: Glory
Well, you do fail to intimidate him. But that is mostly because he is unconcious.
The burbling hissing of his breath is slowing down, and the blood flow is getting less. If you want to be able to wake him up and ask him some questions you are going to need to do some serious first aid, urgently.
(Quick rules note so you understand the crunchy side of what is going on: When the damage inflicted on you goes above your Durability, you fall unconscious. You don't actually die till you hit your Death Rating, which for biomorphs is 1.5 x their durability, or 2 x for synthmorphs. However, if you go over your Durability and have one or more Wounds you are bleeding out, or the synthmorph equivalent, which means you slowly take more damage over time until your hit your DR and kick the bucket. First Aid is needed here to first remove the wounds to stop him bleeding out and second to bring his damage back down below his durability.)

I've just realised that both DCOM and Shankley may appear to be psychotic to an observer. My characters aren't normally like that, both look like murdrous lunatics for completely different reasons.DCOM wrote:I was planning on killing them all anyway.

Re: Eclipse Phase: Glory
Im going to assume thats a yes
The hatch through to the next area is basically the same as the one you came through into the hydroponics area, except for the translucent plastic wall it is set in. Sliding the hatch open reveals another 20m long section of this module. The machinery that fills this room is in much better condition that anything else you have seen so far. The metal gleams, the glass is clear and the few moving parts do so smoothly.
The machinery is an array of growth vats. The nutrient feed from the hydroponics bay splits and enters into 8 large cylinders evenly spaced around the walls. The green glow that lights the whole room comes from glass viewports facing inwards from the cylinders. Inside the cylinders you can see the glowing green fluid of a carniculture vat: a machine designed for growing edible meat products. Its similar to the systems that would be used to grow replacement organs or limbs (or even entire biomorphs), but these are usually used to artificially grow, for example, beef. Through the windows you can see the tremors in the growing muscle that come from the simulated nerve impulses passed through the tissue as a kind of "exercise".
The rear wall (the one facing you as you look through the hatch from the hydroponics section) is a heavy bulkhead. It does not appear to be part of the original construction of this module, and looks like it has been put up pretty hastily. Near the centre is a big, heavy, manually operated door. Looks like something you would expect to see on a modern day submarine. You can hear loud machinery of some sort from the other side of this wall.
Both of you do me a perception test.
