That bloke in the morgue said it was drugs, possibly through her snout or through some patches.

I'm not sure if Frank heard that or not. But Al did and he can pass it on. :P

I'll pass on what the pathologist said (everyone should have heard, I kept an open mic IIRC). Was there any data to hand over?

I think we binned the blood sample and the few bits he'd written on the pad, if he managed to write anything at all.

Possibly we could have run the blood test on what the drugs where, I imagine given this dude's interest it's likely to be tempo.

I don't think there was much. Unless N-Zo interjects with anything he got I'll try to wrap it up.

He has a look at the pathology data and listens to what you tell him, and seems happy enough.

He hands over two sticks, one with the remaining basic pay (14.5k) and another with the 10k bonus for the reports.

He shakes hands with whoever of you are there, finishes his drink and leaves.

Aaaaaaand, you're done! I'll go through and sort out Karma/feedback tonight. In the meantime, what did you guys think of that run? Be honest if there is something you dont like, I wont be offended. Do say what bits you do like though, and I will keep that in mind in the future.

Also, theres a bit of a choice for you guys as to what you do next. Either go straight to the next run in the Ghost Cartels campain, or investigate the bug-body/hive situation. You wouldnt be being hired to do the second option, but dont think that you wouldnt be rewarded for it. Unless, of course, you all end up being eaten by giant roaches.

Personally I think that was the best SR run I've ever played. Bear in mind I'm not a huge fan of SR, so it's not as high praise as it might sound, but even so I thoroughly enjoyed it. Admittedly I was a major player in this so I don't expect it was as much fun for Pete or Roman who didn't have a great deal to do, but it was only a small run and you can't please all of the people all of the time.

I'm not sure I've ever played an adventure in any game which relied almost exclusively on undercover work. In fact, I can't remember many games which have involved any covert work. I try to push it in SLA, but because that's so combat ready the players never go for it. It was hard work, and required a lot of thinking on our feet, but very rewarding. I don't know what the official line was on how it should have been done (or even if there was one), but from a GM's perspective kudos for letting us follow this line of approach. Often it's very easy to just cock-block an alternative solution when it blind-sides you, and I've caught myself doing it a few times in SLA. And that was my only criticism - that at one stage it felt like however well I rolled and however much Edge I used, I just couldn't get that fucking pathologist out of the lab. Like I say though, I don't know what was happening behind the scenes so I don't know how far we deviated from what was expected.

Since this sort of thing can be fairly dull for anyone not involved I won't expect to see entire runs of undercover stuff, but what we did here is what I'm trying to specialise in. Now I need to look into some implants and upgrades, see if I can work a little way towards pornomancer.

I enjoyed reading that, despite not having much to do with Frank I wasn't bored, I know it's all bound to build into some epic finale and from an outside point of view, it was good to see a run where Al, Leland and N-zo got a lot of work, I get to read the story from a wider angle than when I'm looking at who I need to shoot or stab.

In game it's good too, the work between N-zo and Al is good to stop the dick waving and get N-zo slotted into the team, some good dynamics there.

Unsurprisingly I totally vote for having a crack at the bugs. I'll break out the incendiary rounds and flamethrower yeah? :excited:

Pants - if you're browsing purchases and joose is busy on xfire gimme a poke if you want.

The immediacy of this shorter run is good, the pace was better and far easier to jump back into after a quiet few days. From my point of view my run is getting rambling, I know exactly what's going on ans where it's likely going, but I'm possibly the only one.

I possibly should have run each location as separate mini runs. This is in fact what I'll be doing in future.

Oh yeah, this. I was hoping it would lead to something interesting and I was deliberately after some indie work. I don't really need the money (and suspect it could lead to something we could sell anyway).

Errugh, call me later. I think I'm going to sleep for a week.
I thought it was pretty good. We seemed to have pulled it off with our that bizarre and hastily conjured up plan. I didn't have a huge role to play, but I think I was an important part of the plan and it seemed to have the desired effect. Pretty good overall.

So, minus what we gave Stinky, we have 26k to Split.

So Frank, Nik, Chopper, Leland, Al and N-zo mean we can go for 4k each, with a 2k slush for the next run. I looked at the last run, and we started a 2k slush there as well, so we have an extra 4k for group kit thats needed, or more body disposal.

If anyone wants to mention the indie work IC and lets go from there.

That 4k could be useful until this bug hunt starts paying.

Downtime? I shall be doing a couple things:

A) Finding another good fake SIN

and

B) Working on getting rid of my Gesture Geas.

For the fake SIN, I'll do the availability test here.

Fake SIN, availability 15F, 5000¥:
Charisma (4) + Negotiation (5):
3, 3, 6, 1, 1, 6, 3, 2, 1: 2 hits.
1, 5, 6, 2, 3, 6, 2, 2, 1: 3 hits.
6, 4, 3, 2, 5, 4, 5, 6, 5: 5 hits.
4, 4, 2, 4, 2, 1, 3, 2, 1: 0 hits.
5, 3, 6, 6, 3, 6, 6, 4, 6: 6 hits.

I guess this means I won't be able to find it until after then next run?

N-zo should be able to sort you a new one through his contacts.

Remember, any new guns/bombs/armour - give Frank a shout.

Frank wrote:Right then, shall we start looking for these bugs?

I'm thinking a good place to start was were the body that Leland crisped was picked up.

Would your friend on docwagon admin be able to get us that N-zo?

Hold your horses Pete, we've not even done our admin from this run yet, and I reckon we'll probably want a new thread for the bughunt. I think that's the direction we should go for now though.

I've got armour covered, as well as I can do for now anyway, but I've forgotten what you suggested about my gun. I'll have a spaz back through the last run and see, but I might put some business your way.

I want kill bugs! Grrr!

We might not get downtime if we want any chance of getting to the bug hive before the firewatch team, up to Joose I guess.

Smart link and explosive rounds for both better aiming and bug killing. Possibly pick up some designer sunnies that do low light, infrared and thermographic vision.
