As you approach one of the more densely covered areas of growth a man in a bouncer morph bursts out of it, launching himself straight towards Unnamed screaming incoherent rage noises. He is wielding a utilitool as a knife in one hand and is enclosed in a light vacsuit. He looks a bit funny looking: If it wasnt for the fact he is in a bouncer morph, and bouncer morphs are built not born, you would swear he was the result of mild inbreeding. His long black greasy hair is plastered across his face and you can see bits of food and gunk stuck in his teeth.

As you were clearly expecting a possible ambush I won't give him a surprise round, so its Fab up first.

Good rules quick reference: http://thealexandrian.net/creations/ecl ... -sheet.pdf

short version: If you want to shoot him, its a d100, roll under your weapon skill + modifiers. You can have a +10 for a quick aim (aim + shoot this turn) or a +30 if you spend this whole turn aiming.

Bouncer morphs look like this:

They are pretty similar to standard humans but with modifications to help with long term life in very low gravity. They are less prone to muscle/bone weakness, don't feel sick when there are sudden changes in gravity and have hands where their feet should be (makes it easier to grab on to handholds).

I have no idea how strong this one is so just straight shot pls

Light Pistol (31) + 10

Roll(1d100)+0:
3,+0
Total:3

Is that basically an epic murder roll?

The shot tears through his torso and clean out the other side, spraying gore across the plants. He flinches, but is still coming and still snarling.

Pants, you next.

I need to weigh up how quickly he's going to get to Unlabelled and whether I'm going to risk friendly fire. I'm thinking a bouncer can probably move pretty quickly in zero-g so unless there's some reason to think that I'll get enough time for an aim, or that I'll hit Fab, I'll take a quick aimed shot.

Kinetic weapons 45 + 10 = 55

1, 6: 16 Excellent Success!

He is shifting it, so if you waited for a longer aim he would have been in melee with Fab by the time you shot him, making friendly fire much more likely. Quick aimed shot is your best bet. And it hits!

Its another solid hit, again going straight through any armour he might be wearing. The impact spins him slightly, but by some horrible miracle he is still alive and angry when he gets to Unlabelled. At which point he tries to shiv you with his utilitool.

This guy is rolling like a fucking demon, so despite being on massive negatives for large chunks of him missing he still rolls a success.

Quick reminder on melee: Attacker rolls, and if they succeed then the defender has to roll their Fray skill. If the defender has a bigger margin of success than the attacker, then they have dodged out of the way.

In this case it shouldn't be too hard, relatively speaking (famous last words). The margin of success you need to beat is 1. So Fab, this means that with your Fray skill at 43 you need to roll 42 or less to avoid it.

Shit, they're attacking us with screwdrivers? As a synth, that's scarier than a knife.

Oof. Well, luckily you are wearing some pretty hefty armour, and the nano-blade isn't really made for combat. Despite a hearty thrust the blade mostly scrapes over armoured plates. He only managed to do you 1 point of damage.

By the way, dont worry about the integrity of your space suits. They are designed with high tech, self healing smart materials that patch up small holes and tears by themselves. From a rules perspective, the suit will cope with anything up to something that would inflict a wound, then it would leave a tear.

And its you up again now Fab.

Yeah, that shot goes wide. Pants?
Bear in mind that this time you are firing into melee. If you critical fail, you'll be shooting Fab.

It's tempting, I have to admit. Nah.

I'm sure he has things under control, and it's an awfully long way. I'll have a quick look around to see if anyone's using the brawl as a distraction to gank us.

You can do a perception test for that. No bonuses for taking your time, obviously.

You dont see any other attackers.

Mr Stabby takes another swipe at you, but the blade goes nowhere near you. You can plainly see that the wounds he has taken so far have fucked him up quite badly.

Back to Fab!
