No, my mistake. Forgot you'd gone out. With a spot roll that good you can see that the birds are flying off in all different directions, some landing in fields. There's one that sticks out as the largest which appears to be heading directly for the town though.

:lol: Good to see Shankley's low charisma at work. The birds! Of course, why didn't I think of that. Transmutation school, there must be some sort of transform-into-a-bird spell. That explains how they disappeared last time too. Not that any of that helps us catch the killer, but it's a start.

Eyes peeled for a big bird then, dont suppose theres a sesame street in orhedge?

will i be able to see where the bird is going to land?

assuming i can point it out to them Ill call for the rest of the guys to have a look, maybe thor will be able to track it.

I guess we run after it into town and ask around if anyone saw a huge bird land and turn into a person. Which'll probably get us the sort of looks Glib gets all the time.

A collection of guards are still hanging by the barn, moving the body, helping to collect evidence, almost all of them clueless as to why the beguiling adventurers who stormed the barn are now chasing after birds. A few of the townsfolk however feel that you're on to something, and tag along, jogging after you.

The gate's closed by the time you return to town, and it takes thirty seconds for the guardhouse attendants to get it open again once they've checked your party out.

Indeed it is, personally i prefer something more suited to burrowing but others do take to the skies. it is not only us druids who hold this skill though i must say

Okay, so you're all back in town now? What would you like to do?

So you don't flounder if you've got no plans, I'll open these options to you:

If you want to search the town for any signs of nesting grounds for big, black birds (or anything else you think might indicate where your gribbly went) I'll take an extended skill test on search. Let's say five tests altogether for each hour of good daylight left. Those with low-light or darkvision can take seven tests instead. Three successes will give you a lead.

If you want to try and figure out what it might be that's going around stabbing people then I'll take a knowledge test from you. Dungoneering, Arcana, Nature or Planar will do, and you can have a +2 if you hunker down in the library for the rest of the day to read associated books on those subjects.

(I think part of the flounderage is me having a plan of how things will pan out, but with no idea what the filler was going to be. Have been reading and listening to some other D&D games and realised that now's probably good for a little skill challenge to cut the investigation up. Thanks Penny Arcade/WOTC!)

Edit: Also, I don't want to be doing one, small adventure for 6 months. Must produce new content!

Searching for birds or reading books. Hmm, neither of those appeal to Glibberig. Instead he's going to wander over to Fletcher & Sons, the bowyers.

But really it's something quite lovely!

Swish! Ping! The arrows fly through the air! But anyway, on to business matters. A young man in a horned helmet recently approached me and asked if I had any arrows that could take down a dragon. Now obviously you'd need some pretty big arrows. The wood isn't an issue, but I'm wondering about the fletching. Where would you find a big enough bird to get large enough feathers? Have you seen any large birds, other than swans, around here?
Do I need to roll anything for this?
