I will do, but it'll depend on juggling uni work and an empty bank account. Maybe a week night next week? It's on at the Tyneside every night, and I'm far happier giving them my money than those twunts at the Empire in the Gate.

I'll go whenever mate, and it is much better to give them the money than anywhere in the gate, it's an over priced turd of a place.

Men who stare at goasts!!

It was okay, bit too much fannying around given it's a short film. Seemed to be undecided whether it was a comedy short of laughs or a serious bit of art with a few too many silly bits. Nothing outstanding but well polished with nice editing and screenplay.

6/10

Harry Brown

Starring Michael Caine as a ex-marine now pensioner living on a crime riddled estate somewhere in the south of England.

Tracks how a man turns vigilante after losing the last thing close to him, and swearing revenge on the thugs that did it.

It's got no comedic undertones, even if a few lines here and there raise a chuckle. It's got full on drug taking at one point and it's pretty brutal in it's delivery of violence. It's also a fairly accurate showing of just how bad the worst estates in the UK are.

It's also a very good film. Michael Caine is fantastic, but the supporting cast are also pretty damn good.

The Bridge

Documentary about all the people who killed themselves jumping off the golden gate bridge in 2004.

Very interesting, I thought it was nice that the people who topped themselves had something said about them.

Michael Hall does some great parts, shooty parts are satisfying, there are occasionally dropped tits as well. The whole thing was as plotholey though as a Harry Potter movie, and sometimes there are just overwhelmingly unnecessary parts. Overall, not bad. 6.999999...998/10.
Just watched this, completely stupid, utterly pointless, moderately amusing.

Plot made more sense than MW2

Made by the same idiots that did the Cranks. Although, the first Crank had some substance they are lacking a real storyteller.

Bruno

Remember how Borat managed to combine silly/gross humour with a vicious, satirical edge that highlighted the ignorance and prejudices of many people? Well Bruno is nothing like that. The whole film relies on 'shock' faaabulous gags - there is no subtlety to it whatsoever. Only bit that made me properly laugh was the redneck Yanks crying (literally tears of anguish) at the sight of two men tonguing each other at a cage fighting event.

The occasional subtle dig is buried beneath the shock gags and absurdity, but I wasn't bothered by that because it's how his bruno character is.

I laughed my tits off because it's so bad. The dwarf fucking, the faaabulous wrestlers, the fat hooker and the cock video all spring to mind.
