Go on then, although I feel I might regret it. I don't have to make a grapple roll do I?

Unarmed touch attack will do, so a straight d20 + Strength mod + Base attack bonus.
Strangely, he slips past Forenrond.

Is it greased?

 It's not greased. Forenrond just has butterfingers.

The Druid's fine animal-handling fingers deftly take hold of the pig.
It squeals, loudly.

The pig runs away again.

Posted: November 25th, 2010, 21:55

Back towards the Orc.

For some reason, I'm now picturing the Sheep or Mad Cows from the Worms series. You know exactly where I'm going with that.

There's nobody entertaining your bard with a reply, currently.
You're just standing at the junction still.

I'll sneak off and see if I can scout out what's ahead. They know we're here, but maybe I can peer round the corner without being spotted and we can get a plan together.

Super duper stealthy! Nobody sees or hears you.
Luckily you don't need a big spot check to see what's around the corner.

As you turn, you see the left hand wall of the northern corridor open up into an archway wide enough for the entire party to stand astride in. It seems to be the main living quarters. It looks to be about 30ft wide by 60ft deep.

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/ ... /map-5.jpg">

To the south is a sort of half-walled off animal pen made of branches and dried mud with a group of fat boars and pigs rooting around inside it. The smell is atrocious. You reckon the pig that Orovan caught probably bolted from this pen after all the commotion.

There are a group of four Goblins standing around a large Orc. This one looks a little fatter and bigger than the one you fought in the shrine. They're all looking at the corner you're peeking around, but your stealthy use of the hard shadows the camp-fire in the centre of the room is casting keeps you hidden.

The two Goblins at the rear are holding javelins above their head, the two in the fore are holding maces.
The Orc has his throwing-axe drawn.

At the back of the room is a group of six 'civilian' goblins. They're un-armoured and seem to have had their sleep disturbed by the strumming melodies your Bard was playing earlier. Just to the right of the civilians is a closed door, but it doesn't look very strong.

If you're all prepared then feel free to roll initiatives.
I'll let Forenrond take a surprise round first if he wants to start proceedings.

Remember you can make an attack and then leg it out of range, so firing the first shot doesn't necessarily mean you're going to have the smack-down laid upon your sorry face.
