I think I have wired reflexes too (and have finally remembered to switch them on!)

init (9) + 3 = 3, 2, 5, 5, 2, 4, 6, 4, 1, 3, 1, 2: 3 hits.

meh

Your init is 11. Reaction 8, intuition 3 +2 wired reflexes. I re-rolled you got 4 hits for 15.

Indeed! Sort of!

I'm going to be in full VR entirely, so I'll be going before meat anyway. Rolling to see who goes first out of a group entirely comprising of me seems silly, so I wont. Tell me if I need to at any point.

Having said that, my first round will be spent making sure my 5 dragonfly drones have a good view of the action.

As the dragonflies approach, they see Alvrin nearing the bottom of the rope. Joose, your turns are taken by their approaching. turn two if we get there post your actions when everyone else re-rolls init.

Around the crashed flyer is a large swathe of devastation, it dropped almost vertically, smashing into the trees and sliding down the slope, gouging deep into the snow, soil and rock as well as felling numerous trees.

Eventually coming to a halt pinned by more trees the battered lander spews forth a variety of the same creatures you've seen through the cameras at the town and on the dissection table in the doctors infirmary.

With enraged screeches and howls they move toward Alvrin. The nearest is approximately 20 metres away, the others are a few metres behind with the exception of the funny shaped meat beast that starts to circle away from the craft.

Order this turn is

Hernandez
Jon
meat beast
meat beast
meat beast
funny shaped meat beast
Smith
Alvrin
Jasper

Those of you on the path are -4 to dice pools for shooting due to the angle, trees and flyer being in the way, or -4 to the funny shaped one as he's slightly less covered.

Deject you're also at -4 to shooting as you're still rappelling, you can shoot like that or spend a turn landing and extricating yourself. Or you can cut the rope as a simple action and roll agility + athletics to land safely and with a simple action left. If you fail it's fall damage resisted by body + half impact armour and your turn used. But please wait for your turn before rolling. :P

So, Hernandez is up.

Hernandez will draw 1 of his deputies and take a shot at the closest beast to Alvrin.

Sir yes sir!

What I want to do is going to be based on what the monsters do anyways, since I'd rather not be fighting them 1v3 or 1v4 since they seemed to be rather vicious.

Jon pulls out his pistol and fires at whichever meat beast is biggest (and if they're all the same, go for the nearest)

fuck it, brain not working yet, what do I need to roll for this?

Also: Pnut, I think you were only meant to knock 4 off, not 5 from your roll

Hernandez' shot smashes a huge hole in the tree scant inches from the lead best, scattering bark and pulp and punching a hole deep enough in the tree to make it bleed sap. With a skitter and screech the beast scampers sideways.

Pnut, second shot please.

Technically Jon didn't go at all, unless his turn was stopping to wonder how to fire his gun.

He goes twice because he's got two simple actions just as everyone else has.

Hernandez' second shot catches the beast high in the chest and tears a gaping hole. The horse of the explosion is such that is smashes the fleshy monstrosity backward like a leaf caught in a gust of wind. It's down and gurgling with thick blood almost crimson in its colouring spraying the snow around it.

Now it's Jon's turn.

Fab, you're rolling -

Agility 6 + Pistols 4 threshold of 3 to draw the gun and fire in one go. If you make that then you've drawn the gun from your holster and can then roll

Agility 6 + Pistols 4 +1 laser sight -3 for distance as you've got a light pistol and -4 for the cover. So 4 dice.

And do so twice.

Or you can draw the gun, take aim (to reduce the dice negative), then fire for your turn. You can fire just once but it will give you a dice pool of 7.

Any problems with that frankly messy set of options just poke.

Ta! So to start with:

3, 4, 2, 6, 4, 3, 4, 2, 6, 5: 3 hits.
woo!
then

6, 4, 5, 3: 2 hits.

and

4, 2, 5, 5: 2 hits.

Am I doin' it rite?

You are indeedy.

The first shot from Jon's lights pistol leaps from the barrel and courses toward the best that was on the shoulder of the first. The momentary distraction of the other meat beast's demise is enough to cause it a pause that means it doesn't expect the light bullet to clip its side.

It screeches as a line is scored across its hip. Hardly any damage is dealt but its focus drops from Alvrin. Its flinching causes the other bullet to fly into the nearest snow drift.

The fastest meat beast was put down by Hernandez, the second fastest continues on toward Alvrin, its headlong rush means its a metre or two away from him, but it's looking at the cliff top from where Jon's shot rang out.

The third follows, pacing itself at point blank to Alvrin, its attention is firmly on Alvrin.

The funny shaped meat beast circles to a point where it can't be seen from the cliff top.

Deject - make a willpower roll please.

I hate these single attribute tests. :(

Willpower (3): 3, 6, 1: 1 hit.

edit: if this is to resist fear or intimidation, I do have the Guts quality, so I would get a +2 bonus.

Willpower (3) + Guts (2): 5, 5, 3, 1, 1: 2 hits.

The funny shaped meat beast lets out a scream, but not just any scream.

This scream is enough to startle the birds from the trees for thousands of metres, enough to make the hibernating squirrels pop in showers of gore.

It tears into you with a sound like a sonic boom, the trees around you shaking and the snow driven into the air by the wall of horse. You take 4 stun damage.

Smith's go.
