You should still be alive, just. Don't forget that in sr, running out of hot points pits you out of action, but doesn't inst kill you. You only die when you go over your physical damage by your body rating.

Which, admitedly, is only 2 for you. I would maybe have used edge for that roll :lol:

which thing was that? Is it my second ip yet? I want to kill it to death.

Technically it's Deject's turn. But that would consist of declaring that he's still on full defence, or that he's stopping that to wander round blindly instead. But wandering round blindly is a bit dangerous...

With body 2 and assuming no augs that reduce damage, he is on zero. That's out of action, but not dead. Not getting worse through bleeding out or anything either, thankfully.

Right, Lex is the only one who sees this - Jon crumples to the ground as the bat thing disentangles itself and climbs hard to regain height. It's quickly lost amongst the swirling dust again.

Deject, as and when you turn up just state whether you want to remain on full defence or get up and move.


The dust cloud seems to be thickening, up above you hear thunder and see flashes of light as the levels of static build. Everything even vaguely metallic starts sparking intermittently, veins of blue-purple light winking in and out of existence. Your hair is trying to escape from your bodies, with tiny flashes of light flickering across any bare skin from the tips of the hair. Up above, the indistinct shapes become slightly clearer as they too start to earth the charge that's building.

It is different things turn - Different thing flaps slowly down from the chaos, heavy wings tattered and ragged like the old dried skin of some hideous cannibal banner. It's ungainly in flight, swerving and dipping as it closes with the ground near Lex.

Scales of chitin cover it, bony crests adorn its back and head and its eyes carry a blaze of malevolence that seems to pierce the gloom. It smashes into the ground, kicking up flecks of stone as the impact cracks the ceiling below you. It spreads its wings back and sticks its neck out, opening its mouth and seemingly screaming or exhaling toward Lex, but you can't see anything or hear anything. It doesn't seem to have any effect and the thing screams in rage at you.

Next was big thing, but Joose ventilated it at the start so it's joose go tiem!!

Blimey. Right, I'm going to shoot it, hard. I'm also going to do something I forgot to last time, and actually use both the actions I'm allowed :lol:

So, shooting number 1: same as before, 17 dice:

4,5,6,5,4,2,4,5,6,3,1,3,1,5,4,5,3 = 7 hits.

If that doesn't kill it, I'll do it again for my second simple action:

2,2,1,4,5,4,6,3,1,3,6,3,5,3,1,2,5 = 5 hits.

If it died with the first shot, I'll use the second simple action to aim up on anything that's still alive and not friendly.

I'm guessing that's the end of round 1, so have another two rolls. I'll be using them on whatever looks scariest to me :)
Obviously, if I run out of targets, I wont just start shooting the guys just because they are scary.

I suppose getting up isn't the worst idea at this point. I'll remain in full defense until I'm no longer surrounded by the stuff.

I would have updated, but Berk made me play baconz. :P

I was intending this to be a real challenge but...

The thing never gets to fight, the first two shots rip through it, causing screams of agony, it looks to be bleeding something akin to treacle from its gaping wounds. It staggers but its still standing, using its wing pinions for support.

It actually needs the third shot to finish it, the last one punching through one of its glaring eyes as it staggers toward you hissing and bleeding.

It's dark blood sizzles as it hits the floor, melting stone. As it collapses with its brain pouring out the back of its skull it breathes one final time, a shuddering gasping effort as it purges its lungs one last time, flecks of spittle clinging to its beak.

Lex is okay, but the cloud of breath reaches Alvrin, it's not good.

I shall write more when I get in from werk!

Deject roll toxin resistance test plz.

It's body + any equipment you're carrying/implanted with that negates effects of toxins. (p254 anniversary edition)
