Excellent.

I'm not sure what it is, but it reminds me of a sonar or imaging pulse. Could be those drones that Al mentioned, could be a signal of some kind. Just thought I'd let you know.

Any luck with the AR Al, I know you're flying in the dark here, but if you can glean anything extra it would be a massive bonus. How is the count going for the door locks?

Leland, anything happening upstairs yet, are the critters getting loose?

Chopper. Have you seen anywhere good for us to run to? Or make a stand from? You think you got time to look in that central lab? I know it smells fucking terrible, but I don't like how we hit the power with all those weird subject tubes in there that Leland mentioned. I'm not too far from getting this thing placed so I'll get that done, have a quick look at the AR with Al if I have the time, and then head up to you. Then we'll kick some ghoul ass.

I'm a fast runner so I'll have a scout of the lab section. If I see anywhere decent I'll give you a shout. Might also have a look at the lift shaft if I get time, see if we could climb up the inside without getting ghouled.
Do I need to do any rolls for running? I have a Running skill of 4

Well, the ghoul you are surprised by gets 18 (fuck me he's fast) so goes first.

Combat Turn one, phase one:

Ghoul screams at you and charges. He'll be all over your ass in the next phase. Seriously, if you were not astral right now, he would be blurring slightly. You can see from his aura that hes none to bright, really pissed off, and magically active.

You can just about make out some other ghouls behind him. Apart from the fact they they are moving at roughly normal human rate, you don't have enough time to make out detail.

Your move :)

Right, how about a blast of Stunbolt horse 6?

Stunbolt horse 6 (DV: 2)

Magic + Combat Spellcasting (14 dice): 7 hits (13 stun dmg)
Drain Resist (9 dice): 3 hits

edit: why the fuck do ghouls have to have such high willpower??? goddamnit.

 but :(

Seriously though the example ghoul in the book has a willpower of 5. Now yeah my spell is going to hit the bastard for sure with my lucky-ass roll there, but I just hope it has a bad resist roll because it could only take 8 points of stun or something. If it does have Willpower of 5 then that means it has 11 boxes of stun to fill up.

yeah, it looks shaken, but is still coming at you, slavering away. And round one phase two, it gets to you!

It swings for your astral noggin, and scores 2 hits total (physical blammage). Resist that!

My body would go into a coma. You could keep my body alive indefinitely, though it won't do much good. Sell my organs if my astral form dies.

:above:, with no chance of recovery.

On that note, the second stunbolt slams into him, but he doesn't even flinch.

He swings at you, this time for 1 hit! this could take a while...

Magic + Spellcasting (14 dice): 7 hits
Drain Resist (9 dice): 6 hits oh thank god.

Right, since I apparently can't touch him it's back to blasting with Stunbolt. I think I'll overcast this a tad as well.

Magic + Spellcasting (14 dice): 5 hits
Drain Resist (9 dice): 3 hits
