Well, that certainly looks quite good. I'd heard rumours it looked a bit too curvy, but some of those scenes still carry the circuit-board style that the original encompassed.

Although Light Cycles that don't turn at right angles? Pffffft.

Presumably Mesrine is the one from 2008? I have parts 1 & 2 from Lovefilm at the moment, must watch them now.

Tron gets better with each trailer, young Bridges looks uncanny.

Why are they calling a film about a dude in a Legion, Centurion?

Because the 'hero' is the CO of a Century perhaps?

A Century being about 83 men (Legionaries), six centuries making up a cohort, and 10 cohorts making up a Legion.

I'm glad my time in primary and secondary school spent studying in the Romans has finally proved somewhat handy.

I would imagine it's either

a) because that guy in whatever legion is a centurion?

b) because calling it kentarch wouldn't have the same ring.

c)because it's made by merkins who have no clue?

Its also set about 200 years too early for him to be a kentarch.

The Goon

Animated violence and zombies, that'll do me. The voices are Paul Giamatti and Clancy Brown.

Here's a clip as well - http://splashpage.mtv.com/2010/07/23/ex ... o-the-eye/

I've been reading the goon comics this weekend, and there's 53 that I could find (go figure just how boring my weekends are) and while they're pretty good I didn't think they were that good. The characters don't seem to have much depth to them, but that could've been the intention all along and I'm doing it wrong.
I am looking forward to the animated film though, it's about time they made an adult themed film with computer animation. That said, I also read they're making a new heavy metal with animated CG, and I'm looking forward to that as well, even though it probably won't have the same amount of lovely, lovely cheese that the original one had.
