The orc and one of the guys that were hit by dejects spell are not dead *yet*, but are damn close, and in no fit state to chat. The other two are quite, quite dead.

As far as putting DP back together again goes: Chopper has a medkit, but lacks the skills to use it. Deject can magic you healthy, as long as he doesn't put himself unconscious in the process.

Before you can do any of this, however, there is a polite cough from near the gate.
Mr Tashima wrote:Greetings gentlemen! I am early, yes? But I see you have been keeping yourselves busy, yes! And who are these unfortunate gentlemen?

Al wrote:Ah, Chopper, could you give me a hand please?
I'll struggle to my feet. Hopefully with Chopper's help.
Al wrote:I was hoping you could tell us that Mr Tashima. I can assure you that we didn't give away any information regarding our meeting to Renraku. You have a little experience with them though don't you?

He looks genuinely shocked.
Mr Tashima wrote:Renraku? Why do you say Renraku? Are these men not from the warehouse?
He looks more closely at the downed men. As he does so, his face drains of colour.
Mr Tashma wrote:Oh my. This is not good, not good at all, no. We must hurry, there will be more on the way. Do you have the item? Is it intact? is it secure?

Leland walks down the stairway of the building he's on and stumbles across the street to where Al is.
Leland wrote:I have the box, it's perfectly safe for now. I agree we shouldn't stay here, but I expect an explanation when we're out of here. I don't like being ambushed one bit.
As Leland finishes talking, he casts Heal horse 4 on Al:

Magic + Spellcasting (11): 5 hits

Drain (4 -2): 2 hits

Also, Leland quickly checks the ambushers for weapons after healing Al, taking the pistols. He realizes that he can't always rely on his magical abilities in sticky situations, and a gun might come in handy when he gets around to learning to shoot one.

Thats 4 points of healing for you then, DP. Hurrah for magic actually working!
Mr Tashima wrote:Ah! Excellent news! Excellent news! I understand you have a vehicle near by, may I suggest we retire to it and leave this area to conclude our business, yes? In any case, my client will wish to examine the item himself before payment is made, and that cannot take place here.

Thanks Deej :)
Al wrote:We can do that, although I'm not up to driving. I think we need to compare notes here, because there's lessons to be learned from this and I seem to be the only one learning the hard way.

the three humans were using large semi-automatics of some sort. You notice the link up in the handle for smart links. Shiny.

The mage has some interesting looking focus on him. You would need to study it a bit to work out what its for though.

If its corp stuff, its probably hot as hell, but you should be able to fence it off for a reasonable amount.
Mr Tashima wrote:Yes, yes, we can talk, but not here. We must leave, now!
He's starting to get rather agitated, and is frequently looking upward, as if he expects it to suddenly start raining Corporate Goons.

Yeah, it might well do. Let's go.

Leland decides to take the focus as well as the guns.

So I presume you are heading to the car now. DP, you will be fine to drive as long as you don't have to do high speed maneuvers or anything like that. Deject has reduced your nasty gunshot wound to a...well, a less nasty gunshot wound. Regular driving will be fine though.

Okay. I was actually kind of hoping that someone else would drive to a) allow me to grill our contact and b) stop them talking. No names mentioned. I can do two things at once though, unless Leland wants to take the lead on this one.

Chopper reluctantly takes the wheel of the car.

He's keeping his axe close by though.

'Sokay, I'll take him. I've got the knowledge skills to back me up.

Joose, is he on his lonesome? If he wants to do this deal on my turf then I'm not going to let him get away with out-muscling us. I get the impression that he's a bit of an amateur. Like we aren't

Yup, he seems to be on his own.

So I take it Leland and Al are getting in the back of the limo with Mr Tashima, and Chopper is getting in the front to drive?

As far as I'm aware.

Yep. Chopper has no driving skills, but he's a quick learner...

:)

I'll do a Reaction roll just to see what happens though:

4,6,1,6, = 2 hits
