Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Right, we need a plan of some sort.
The thing that immediately comes to mind is that I go in for the meeting upstairs, and spend as long as I can umming and ahhing to keep their attention, whilst you combat types sneak in the pipe and mess TT's shit right up. I doubt they will empty the facility just to meet me, but it will split their horses a little. The only problem I can see with this as an idea is that if things get unpleasant in the bar, im fucked. I don't like that as an idea.
Actually, two problems: what if you get in there, and there is no obvious way for the shit to be messed? No one is that handy with 'splosives, apart from Dirks mind booms. Suggestions?

Eraser still has grenades if needed to really fuck thier shit up.
I think we need to figure out who's going in with you as a bodygurd when we know how big the tunnel in is, I'm getting a feeling Eraser may not fit.

The pipes don't belong to TT, they belong to the Snappers. We currently have no idea where the TT facility is. We either need to follow the boss dude to the demo meeting (and hope it's at the TT facility), or sneak into the Snapper facility and hope we can find some information that points us in the right direction.Joose wrote:whilst you combat types sneak in the pipe and mess TT's shit right up.
Messing up the Snapper's shit will be a bonus, as they are currently acting as entry level distributors for TT, but ultimately we need to find the primary facility. Either option will mean we need to lay eyes on the Snapper boss who is presumably through the pipes under the pub.

TO THE PIPE!
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Prodded and cajoled by Eraser, the rather miserable Paddy leads you quietly through the sewers near the Acott Arms. Five levels down he starts peering around, looking for something, and eventually finds a rusty metal box on the wall. Giving it a tug he removes it from the wall and reveals a narrow cable entry point, the cables long since stripped out. It's about half a meter square.

I could be wrong, but I think the snappers facility *is* the TT facility. Why would a gang need a hidden 5 level (maybe more, we don't know) manufacturing facility?Roman Totale wrote: The pipes don't belong to TT, they belong to the Snappers. Eraser will not fit down there, so I can go in with Hal, if Grimmie wants to go shoot some expensive things?

They do seem to be oddly well equipped, but that doesn't mean anything necessarily. How about you guys shoo Paddy away and I'll scout the tunnel then as I'm not going to get anywhere against the electronic lock where I am.Joose wrote:I could be wrong, but I think the snappers facility *is* the TT facility. Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Alright, how about this as a plan: deej does his sneaky thing now, with the rest of you slim types at the pipe entrance ready to run and help in case things go south. If he finds the place clear, you all go in and find info/blow shit up as required. If it's not clear, he can settle in and keep an eye on things till it's time for the meeting.
At meeting time, me and eraser go in to the pub and make as much of a fuss as we can without actually kicking off a fight, in order to distract them and hopefully give you guys an opening for info finding and shit blowing. Hal will recommend to eraser that he plays it super dumb: they are probably not going to be happy with me not turning up on my tod, but I can hopefully spin it as him being my mindless muscle.
This way, if it is the target, deej can confirm and we can take it out. If it isn't, we can maybe keep things quiet and find some info that will lead us to the target.
Tl;dr: go go deject sneaky times.

Indeed. I'll head up the tunnel in full stealth mode.Joose wrote:Tl;dr: go go deject sneaky times.
Sneak (4): 10, 10 + 4 = 24
Hide (4): 1, 8 + 4 = 13
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
The tunnel is pretty grotty, with huge cobwebs and similarly huge (but still normal) spiders. Pressing on you emerge some 10m later into an equally grotty factory area of some kind. It's in complete darkness. What manner of vision are you using?

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I really think we need to avoid blowing shit up for the moment - if it isn't the TT place then they'll go to ground the instant they find out the Snappers have been hit. Also we need to find the boss before your meeting so we know where he's going to get his gear. If we spot him, Deej can sneakily follow him, if we don't then hopefully there's something around that will either confirm it is the TT place, or something to point us towards it.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I'll start with IR to see if can spot anything, then if it looks safe I'll kick on the UV light and switch to that.Dog Pants wrote:The tunnel is pretty grotty, with huge cobwebs and similarly huge (but still normal) spiders. Detect (4) - IR (2): 9, 1 + 2 = 12
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
You don't pick up a lot on IR, just the blues and blacks of cold machinery and concrete. UV gives you an atmospheric black and white view. The place is rusted and collapsing, and rats scurry from your feet whenever you step near them. A circuit of the floor indicates it's about 60m square, and at the far end is a set of concrete steps with the faint remains of paint flaking from them, which lead up to a somewhat small metal door. The door doesn't appear to have a lock.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
If there are any gaps around the door, I'll stick the A/V stalk through and see what I can see.
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
There are no gaps, and it looks like it hasn't been opened in some time.

I'll try to open the door, making sure to be ready to dive out of the doorway.deej wrote:Well, it's either this or learn to pass through solid objects...
