Wow, took me ages to get 8 together. Must be hard to stay alive that long at an MCOM.

Notes from last nights random 12pm game:

The Type 88 Marksman rifle is horrible. I know it's not meant for long range, but it doesn't work at medium either

The stats for the XM8 Compact lie, it's easily more accurate than the Scar-L both in single and auto shooting.

Trying to shoot an attack helicopter with mounted AT is nigh on impossible.

Punkbuster still hasn't caught some aimbot hacks (before the 5punk game on a different server).

Engineers with the body armour perk are a horse to be reckoned with.

5punkers with APC's can rack up serious points on some maps in a very short amount of time :)

I did something awesome to one of those transport helicopters the other day. I was sniping at them, killed the pilot a couple of times and they just kept coming back for more. Then from the side-rear I shot through the gunner and got a double kill on the pilot. Unfortunately I only headshot one, not both. I don't put that down to skill, that's persistence. Which is possibly my greatest skill.

Having been bronze star whoring the lesser assault weapons recently, It seems to me that most of them are actually pretty good, if you use them in the right situations, and with red dot sights.

Apart from the F2000, it's just shit.

I've head shotted a couple pilots and gunners now. Best accidental shot is where I fired at the pilot of a pt boat, I was reasonably sure it was a head shot, but then someone spawned just in front of him as he changed direction, the result was a double kill double head shot. :)

It's painful compared to all the others but I've found that using super short bursts at the head it's quite good, shame about every other situation.

I'm finding the m60 and a 4X scope is pretty ridiculous because of the huge mag you can take loads of people out before you reload and its quite accurate from the hip too. I feel like a bit of a cheat it's so easy

I prefer using the MG36 and MG3 to the M60 anyways. The M60 does feel cheap, but the MG36 has a built in red dot sight and the MG3 has ludicrous RoF and a fairly low spread. With magnum ammo it's pretty awesome.

The MG36 is a very good toy indeed, not as much stopping power as the M60, but makes up it with the RoF.

Holy shit-son, the Saiga with slugs and magnum ammo is awesome.

By god it's fun to use, but it doesn't fire normal slugs, they're almost explosives seeing as they seem to have a bit of splash damage.

2 shots drops anyone, and hitting someone in the head is pretty easy with it as well, even at range with no scopes. Definitely OP with that setup but oh so satisfying to use.

Weird, I never noticed that but I'll have another look. I always preferred the Spas with sabot and magnum for one-shot kills.

I should point out that you really need to crouch, aim properly, and not spam the shoot button for it to be awesome, but it really is good.

Upon reflection, everyone should be crouching and aiming for the most part anyway, so that was a little bit pointless to write down.

It does rather need a toggle doesn't it? Quite odd that the PC version doesn't have it considering the console versions do.

And it dribbles everywhere!

I used the Spas a pseudo-sniper rifle. Worked better than the cunting Type 88 anyway!

That ^, with added killingness at close range.
