Nik keeps his LEBD nearby and out of sight, waiting for a sign that Xa's finished his fun.

All seems quite suspicious, maybe we should get status update, could become bigger job, more pay, no?

This Xa guy is real sneaky, if I hadn't seen him ninja about on the van monitors I would never have thought it of him.
I think Nik's right. We've got enough to point out to the chick that shits going down and I reckon they'll offer us more to keep this thing going and figure out why these guys are doing what they're doing.

I'll start with the basics:
As the big logos and signs show, this place is a local depot of the KondOrchid corporation. It loads and unloads their ships, stores their cargo and loads it up on the lorries. Like most depots of its kind in the 6th world, most of the gruntwork is done using drones, with minimal on site staff.
The corporation itself is a double-A rated transport and shipping conglomerate, with a headquarters in Equador. Mostly concentrates on the shipping lanes of the Pacific and the Caribbean, you also find that its got shares of Aerial Industries, a Latin subsidiary of the German Zeppelinwerke in MetrĂ³pole, through numerous bogus corps out of former Bogota. Its double-A status is largely thanks to its current president, Jaime Salazar, who invested a lot of his own money into explanding the company. Suspiciously, where he got that money from is decidedly *not* a matter of public record.
From there I want to get the current lease details, the account thats paying the rent and utilities and the name of the occupier and then seach it's ties to our two spods we are trailing.

Yup, if you want that its proper hacking time. First off, you need a Hacking + Exploit extended test, with a target of 4 (+3 for security, +6 for Admin). Once you make that, do a Computer + Analyze to see what you can see. I'll let you know when the IC start killing you in the brain.
If. Sorry, *If* the IC start killing you...

Ooookay...
Stealthing up:
Hacking 3, Stealth prog 3, cerebral booster 2 = 8 dice = 3,6,1,6,6,4,3,5 = 4 hits
Same for the exploit test, but I'm going to run that from my agent (rating 3) Same number of dice as the stealth test=
1:2,6,6,6,2,3,3,2= 3 hits
2:5,2,1,6,4,4,3,6 = 3 hits
3:5,3,5,6,2,6,3,6 = 5 hits - admin access granted?
Hacking+spoof+cb to use the same access as wolfgang = 8 dice = 1,6,6,4,6,5,1,6 = 5 hits
Computer+analyse+CB= 12 dice = 5,4,5,1,3,6,4,4,4,1,6,2 = 4 hits
Computer+edit+cb to remove trace (from wolfgang to cover my admin access) = 12 dice = 6,3,6,1,3,2,5,5,5,1,6,2 = 6 hits
I is (hopefully) the cyberninja!

Shit, sorry, I somehow missed TSD's update.
Right then:
Stealthing up:
Hacking 3, Stealth prog 3, cerebral booster 2 = 8 dice = 3,6,1,6,6,4,3,5 = 4 hits
Same for the exploit test, but I'm going to run that from my agent (rating 3) Same number of dice as the stealth test=

2:5,2,1,6,4,4,3,6 = 3 hits
3:5,3,5,6,2,6,3,6 = 5 hits - admin access granted?
You get admin on the third test, and the system doesnt appear to have alerted so far.
Hacking+spoof+cb to use the same access as wolfgang = 8 dice = 1,6,6,4,6,5,1,6 = 5 hits
Computer+analyse+CB= 12 dice = 5,4,5,1,3,6,4,4,4,1,6,2 = 4 hits
You appear to be in an outer shell system, probably intended for the grunt level workers to get access. Theres not a whole bunch of interest here; its so basic its barely been changed from the default view that comes with these kind of node. Theres an employee noticedboard with the usual rubbish on ("Remember, its Joes Birthday Party next Thursday!" and "Health and Safety is Important!" next to "Its been 3 days since the last time lost injury!") and a little icon for workers to book holiday time. Theres a door icon to one side that leads to a more secure node, with what looks like IC to one side, watching over it. You seem to be the only one logged into this node other than the IC.
Computer+edit+cb to remove trace (from wolfgang to cover my admin access) = 12 dice = 6,3,6,1,3,2,5,5,5,1,6,2 = 6 hits
Can do, but remember that anything you do from now on will leave fresh traces in the logs.
The rest of you guys waiting for the hack/Xa to resurface? The hack wont take more than a few minutes game time.

Nik and Frank are waiting nearby, Do we know if Xa has left yet?
Also, if Franks is watching stuff go down on the monitor for the drone, does he get his mods for his eyes and ears when perceiving or is he limited by the sensor quality?
If its limited Frank throws on his new shitty big overcoat, sneaks out the van and watches with his own eyes. And has a tab too.
I can't remember what my sneak stees are. I think I've only rolled them once or twice.

No problem with wolfgang making log notes - cos he's an agent and dissapears easier than I do, as long as he removes my traces.
Is there any indication of a more secure area in this server?

Yeah I am not going to try to get past the spirits there. We are only supposed to observe anyways.

Okeydoke, makes sense.

Youve not seen him yet. He was quite the sneaky bugger, so its concievable that he has legged it without you seeing. The zipline he used to get in is still in place though, so its likely he intends to get out the same way.

Nik could send a video feed directly to your cybereyes if you so wish, but yes, it would be limited by the sensor quality of the drone.

Fair enough.

How long would it take to do a astral tracking scan for Xa around the warehouse area?

My LEBD has a sensor rating of 3, if it makes any difference.

I do believe Franks' eyes are better.
He can wander off to cover a different angle too. More things watching the better if this Xa is the slippery bugger he appears to be.

Right...
I'm working from Franks Node, so I'm going to load Wolfgang from my home node, run us both via a certain German node I have access to. This will let Wolfgang run independantly, and I'm going to payload him with copies of my Armour, attack and biofeedback filters.
Let the IC see and go for him, then, (as I'm stealthed) i'm going to get into the secure (what do I need Mr Joose) and set the Agent to cheese it once I'm in.
I can heal him later

A good solid plan, let down by one thing. As soon as the IC gets sight of your agent, the node you are in shuts down. They must have already been on the lookout, or they are some seriously nervous doods.
Lucky for you, it does a proper shutdown, rather than a simple pull-the-plug effort, so you are logged off properly. No dumpshock to worry about.
Out in the meat world, a few things happen at once. First, a crapload of floodlights kick in, and (from the vantage of Niks drone) you see a couple of flying security drones pop out from a building. You also hear a bit of shouting from inside; not panicky, just serious and abrupt. Frank, you see Xa vaulting from a rooftop into a side alley; obviously not his planned exit, as it looks like the fall hurt a little, and he is round the corner from his mono-cycle. Finally, you all get a text message from Dae, asking for an update.
