The thing is long dead, but the image of you two chasing it about has amused me. It's just some sort of large insect. From the chunk it took out of the wall, you reckon it would have probably hurt through Blocker.
After another half an hour or sowith little more happened apart from a few motion traces which scatter as you approach, you think you've appeared on the partial map of the area around the Forge, where the Subterraneans are supposed to hang out. By your reckoning there should be two entrances to the main chamber at ground level (of the chamber that is, you're way below actual ground level now); a large vehicle access panel, and a smaller, human sized maintenance tunnel.
As a matter of fact, you find a few things. Firstly, and most recently, you reckon around a dozen Carriens came through here. Before that, probably not more than a day ago, several humans in a variety of worn footwear. It's impossible to tell how many with so much activity, but you'd guess at 10-20. The Carriens tracks head away from you towards the Ford, the human tracks go both ways.

I say we press on before our target becomes dinner.
Neither entrance appears easier to get to than the other. Which do you want to head for? If you like you can attempt another nav roll to find another way in, but you might end up worse off if you cock it up.
I think the smaller entrance would be the more likely candidate for the subhumans to use, it is more discreet, and probably easier to open. I believe we should try to get to that one.
Tracking: 2, 8 + 7 = 17
Default on Navigation (KNOW of 9, -3 for default): 4, 10 + 6 = 20
