As well as the 250c payment, Langley informs you of the commission you get on the airtime as follows:

30 seconds of mixed combat footage at 10c per second = 300c
90 seconds of 'investigation' footage, mostly night club scenes shot on hand-cam and some footage of the workers in the warehouse panicking as the Kiestas take over, at 5c per second = 450c
So, divided by 4 you get 187 each with either a couple left over or 50u each in change.

Langley does a 2 1/2 minute expose on the origins of Glacier. He certainly moulds the truth somewhat, making out that SLA issued the BPN to protect its citizens from a dangerous uncontrolled drug. The club scenes are devoid of your interaction and are just mood setters of people having fun and an occassional blurry face snorting the drug. He goes on to show you guys shooting it out with Black Pig, including Gek and Deject being felled by a hail of SMG fire, before slotting in some earlier footage of the Kiestas outside the warehouse. He then insinuates that there has been some sort of drug war in the sector between the Glacier operation and the Kiestas, and that it was straightened out by SLA Operatives with both sides retreating. Footage of Gek and Deject again in damaged armour, patching up Kiestas in what is hinted at being a post-action act of humanity.

This results in a +1 public image to the squad and individuals involved, and while your reputation with Samuel Laurenco has increased, general reputation with the Kiestas remains as it is.

So, divided by 4 you get 187 each with either a couple left over or 50u each in change.

Yes, super BPN Mr. Pants - I particularly enjoyed rubbing shoulders with the social elite of Mort

Something I've only just noticed, the BPN 'Born to the Overkill' - is that name taken from an Aztec Camera song?

Certainly is. One of several methods I use to create BPNs is thinking of a song I like and coming up with a storyline for it.

Thought so. Was idly listening along to some YouTube stuff the other day when I heard "da da da da born to the overkill" and recognised it.

I'm seeing myself having a good bit of 'free' time (ie, sat calming Spog Pants) in which I might not have the uninterrupted time to game but I might be able to write a few BPNs for the return of SLA.

In order to try to hit my target audience then, which BPNs have you chaps loved, hated, liked or liked less? I'm not looking for praise, more constructive criticism and indications about which direction to take the campign.

And before anyone else says it, tip #1 will be avoid drinking a bottle of JD while running the game.

I liked Moving Machinery, Giving to the Machine, Scent of Ebb to best so far. Loose Cannon and Suburban Psycho were good too.

And just don't drink the whole bottle of jack. half-to-three-quarters is enough.

Just found out that Dave Allsop (the game's creator) has started a blog and is selling off artwork from the CS1 sourcebook. Nice to hear about the stuff he's working on (Hunter Sheets Issue 2 - the last BPN was from Issue 1). I've enquired about a few pieces so hopefully I'll be in posession of an original fairly soon. At the very least it was nice to have a brief email conversation with the brains behind the game.

It may just be me, but I see no new stuff in there. You sure you uploaded it right?

Odd, seems to have not worked. The FTP thing did say 2mb maximum, but that's never stopped me before. I'll try zipping it.

Edit: Fuck. All those extra images have bumped the size up and it won't upload now.

Link should work now. Thanks to Deject and Berk for setting up alternative FTPs for me, but I couldn't connect to either of them for some reason. In the end I pulled my finger out and resized the images, saving about 200k.

Updated house rules - now includes modified rules for auto fire, suppressive fire, dual weapons, and revised penetration rules. Also, a new skill called Gun Kata.
