I hope this is going to be a Kryten scenario, with the avatar tending to a hab full of corpses.

Wu here at the moment, and then Dexter and Ji of course. Oh, and Mother! They would all love to meet you, I'm sure.

Re: Eclipse Phase: Glory
Your muse gently reminds you that the woman you are after is called Yu, not Wu.

DCOM mentally tallies how much ammo he has.DCOM wrote:Dead would be preferable.

Re: Eclipse Phase: Glory
As you are talking amongst yourselves, the woman disappears from the mesh and the airlock doors slide shut again. If you are touching the hull of the hab you can feel a thrumming, if not you can see the tell-tale signs of small amounts of atmos leak around the shitty airlock seals. The air supply has kicked in and is re-pressurising the inside.
Re: Eclipse Phase: Glory
Ah shit.
DCOM squirts off towards the airlock.DCOM wrote:You sound more normal now. Shall we go inside? I think if we need everybody to be dead we must do it ourselves.
Re: Eclipse Phase: Glory
Do I have video or anything for inside? If so:
Unlabelled wrote:Hang back a second, if they're re-pressurising that suggests that they might not have breathing gear so if they come into the main area I might be able to blow it again... actually fuck it, we'll have to go in that way anyway. I'll do the doors again and lets do this

Re: Eclipse Phase: Glory
Nope, there is no internal video feed. In fact, a bunch of the systems that were working a second ago are now showing "Connection Error" messages instead, including door controls. The manual controls to do a normal airlock cycle are still functioning, but you cant vent the place any more.
You going through the airlock? Also its just occurred to me that FJ is still hanging back by the shuttle, are you leaving him there or is he joining you?

Re: Eclipse Phase: Glory
Usagi's no use in a fight, I think the plan was for her to do something to the Keysrah to send it home, then hide somewhere in the shuttle. Not sure if I need to hack/operate something to do that. Once the place is clear she can come in and do her science/forensic thing on the resulting mess.Joose wrote: Also its just occurred to me that FJ is still hanging back by the shuttle, are you leaving him there or is he joining you?

Re: Eclipse Phase: Glory
Fair enough. The Keysrah is fine apart from the busted open hatch, and you have all the access codes, so all you need to do is tell it to hop it and it will leave by itself. No rolls needed for that if that's what you want to do.
I'll assume you (DCOM and Unnammed) are going through the airlocks then. The outer doors slide open silently after a couple of seconds pause, and slide shut again behind you once you are through. As the atmos is pumped back into the room, sound starts to creep slowly back too. You can hear the hum of the air supply first, then you can start to make out the more distant noises of a working hab.
The internal lighting is not great, but enough to see by. Its a little chilly, but nothing unexpected for a cheap, badly maintained hab. The air supply sounds a little laboured, but you don't know if that is down to bad maintenance or the fact it is working overtime after you vented the place. The airlock chamber you are in is comparable to a large shopping centre lift: you could fit maybe a dozen people in at a squeeze and it is just an empty cube shaped room with a door to the outside behind you and the interior door in front of you. After a few seconds re-pressurising the little indicator light on the wall above the internal door goes from red to green, indicating the pressure has equalized. Its a big airlock door, but the release control is manual.
Whatcha doing?
