Grimmie wrote:Alrighty, well I dunno how tests work, but the rulebook has a (4) next to the description for scanning for a hidden node, so I guess I roll 4 times?
Electronic Warfare (4) + Logic (5) + Scan (3) = 12 dice
1,3,4,6,2,3,3,4,6,1,4,4 = 2 hits
4,1,2,6,3,2,3,4,1,5,1,2 = 2 hits
3,1,4,1,2,2,1,2,6,5,5,4 = 3 hits
6,6,2,4,1,4,2,2,2,2,6,4 = 3 hits

no, when a test is written in the format skill+attribute/program (number), then the number is the target you need to succeed. So detecting a hidden node is a Ewar + scan (4) test, meaning you roll your electronic warfare skill plus your scan program rating, and need a total of four hits to succeed. You dont add your attribute when using a program (which is, I admit, a little wierd), so your dice pool should be 7, not 12 dice. Because im nice, I'll let you roll that again
Edit: Let's have a gander, too.
Perception (4) + Intuition (3) + Actively looking (3) = 10 dice
2,6,1,5,5,3,6,2,2,2 = 4 hits
You dont find anything that looks like a electronic bug. Both corpses are butt-naked, and neither have been carved up at all during the autopsy (yay for future science). The one that isnt your target is kinda crispy, so theoretically something could have been pushed in somewhere, but theres no evidence of that you can find.

Scanning:
Electronic Warfare (4) + Scan (6) + Bonuses (5 - not hot sim) = 15 dice
5, 2, 5, 4, 1, 3, 4, 6, 2, 4, 1, 3, 6, 3, 5: 5 hits.
anything broadcasting?

With hacking, the dcepool is thus:
Skill + Software + Bonuses = dice pool
Bonuses include things like being in Hot Sim and bonuses to your Logic Rolls (agreed with Joose early on).

I think we've thoroughly examined the naked, rotting, bubbling corpses in the back of my truck.
I'm gonna pop a fresh bottle of vodka open and huff the fumes while we make our way to Deject's contact.

We're not an hour away from the meet are we? If we are I'd like to do a Stun damage healing roll. I don't think we have time for me to be inactive before we meet with Benedict.

No, you could get there in less than an hour. I would say that chilling in the back of a van, even one thats moving and filled with stinky runners and dead people, should be restfull enough to recover some stun damage though if you want.

It's the shag carpeting and mood lights I installed that make it a
smooooth ride.

I do have the Quick Healer quality, if that matters at all.
If I can use the rushing the job rule, I'll risk the double chance of glitching for half the time to heal up.
Body (3) + Willpower (4) + Quick Healer (2) - 1 (Stun damage): 5, 2, 5, 4, 6, 4, 3, 2: 3 hits.
That should take me to no Stun and just the one Physical damage, which I can heal off without much trouble.
Heal horse 1 (DV: 1)
Magic (6) + Spellcasting (6) + Quick Healer (2): 1, 3, 1, 6, 6, 1, 4, 6, 2, 2, 4, 1, 5, 5: 5 hits.
Drain Resist
Logic (5) + Willpower (4): 2, 2, 5, 6, 1, 2, 4, 4, 6: 3 hits.

Frank has spent the whole journey with his eyes on the bug corpse, shotgun too.

Sorry, not with a spell you cant. Damage through drain can only be healed through non magical means. Still, its only 1 point.
I'm going to assume you meant you would contact Kaz, not Dae, seeing as it was him who hired you

I wouldn't normally, but its been a while so its not surprising you forgot.
Kaz wrote:Thank you, but no, souvenirs are not required. Once your work is complete, contact me again and I will have your payment in credsticks delivered to a location of your choosing.

Stinky wrote:Yeah man, I don't sleep at nights. If its just a drop off, then it depends on the quality. If it needs careful disposal, or its toxic or something, then there will be a fee, prices start at 1k. If its in good condition, we can get rid of it for free. Bring it to the bins, I'll take a look.

Righto, I'll stop and scoop my drones back inside, Lenin, Stalin and the Kull.
Should only take a few minutes, after that I'll hot-tail it to the drop-off point.

Yeah let's get this over with.
We just wanted to have weird burned bug body inspected yes? We should do the meet with my contact then.

We can start by inspecting it. A weird mutant body thing with no owner? There's got to be a story behind that and some indy work might lead somewhere.
