Deject. Suddenly the marks stop. They pause for a second then disperse into the floor above. As you hear the fire door slam shut the motion tracker loses them.
Looks like they're setting up on the floor above us. We should use the elevator as a distraction I think. Maybe I could hide in it with my fancy new armor and make a double deception. We make the elevator look empty, and have Eraser & K'trr bust down the fire door on that level after the elevator opens. Then I can give them some hot lead execution style.
I'll take a look at the elevator and see if it would be possible for me to maybe latch on to the roof or something out of the way to minimize my visibility and get out of the way of any bullets.
Yeah, the elevators are made as much for appearance as functionality, so there's hardpoints and a maint hatch, but a reasonable amount of cover up there.
Christ, I forgot about the Elevator Magical Mystery Tour.
Floor 13 is full of cubes and devoid of DarkNight. As are the other floors on the list, since it's probably done the circuit by now. However, the one down from the boardroom looks very plush, with a secretary's desk larger than the ones most bosses have down where you are, and nice wooden panelling.
Anyone want to try my idea? I like the idea of being kinda like those assassin dudes from F.E.A.R., clinging nearly invisibly to the wall or ceiling, waiting to the perfect moment to strike. With a double distraction of the elevator and a stormer and shaktar busting down a door hopefully we could catch them well off guard.
Alright, let's do it. Dirk, hold the elevator open while I get set up. The rest of you should get ready to bust in the doorway. When we're all set, Dirk will send me up, and I'll give you the cue to bust in.
I'll position myself up near the ceiling of the elevator, close enough to the door for my A/V stalk to see out the doorway fine.
