The ending was very 'meh' and why didn't Peter just fly himself? Why did he have to kill his brother in the process?
Also I think we could be heading into a LOTR crossover with the person who is worse than Syler being able to see Molly when she looks for him? Sauron anybody?
As a final point the next season should be ace and I the Japanese guy from the stories (can't remember his name) that Hiro saw at the end looked an awful lot like his father

In summary: Win series! More win next tiem please kthxbai

Well yes, when Hiro finds himself on an ancient Japanese battlefield, it was clearly going to be the original owner of that sword, and that they are going to be related. However, my first thought was "Pfffffffft - he has landed on the island from Lost"

Also, is it just me, or did Sylar gradually accumalate a variety of powers from people we never saw? I'm sure he was doing things that hadn't been explained, like suddenly disappearing. Did we see him kill the invisible guy?
Bit of random trivia - the Haitian guy is actually from Haiti. Does the Petrelli's mother remind anyone else of Cruella Deville?

Haha, my missus said Cherie too, whereas I reckon it's more along the lines of an evil Sharon Osbourne.

It's the second time a seemingly dead Sylar has been pictured near a cockroach - presumably to illustrate how difficult it is to kill the bugger.

My guess is he was too busy trying to control the exploding power and wouldn't be able to concentrate enough to fly off himself. As far as sylar appearing/disappearing so quickly, I have no idea. He's done it a couple of times now and it's never really explained how he does it.

Plot-wise, I guess they wanted to make Nathan into a hero, as he was becoming rather villainous. Biz-wise, I guess some actors won't appear in series two, or the rumoured Heroes: Origins spinoff will see some of them appear in that.

Takezō Kensei - based on Musashi Miyamoto.

Just watched the finale now, it was easily 2 parts win, 1 part meh I think. All shaping up nicely for Generations though.

Monday, September 24, 2007.

Just wondering, as I haven't checked if there's any evidence to support it, but could PP perhaps only use one power at a time? So he couldn't fly because he was too busy exploding.

That is certainly a good theory there Jack. Don't recall any evidence to the contrary either.

Must admit it was a bit of an anti-climax for me as well (only just got around to watching it as my interest has waned slightly over the last few eps). By no means bad, but just a little meh from the pre-March awesomeness.

I had the exact same thoughts Lat's Spoilarz quoted.

I've not read the end of this thread due to spoilers, but I just thought I'd post.
Mrs Cheese and I started watching this from last weekend.
But reading the start of the thread, I'd just like to say to all the peope who had to wait for each episode (from November 06 from what I see) - HAHA!
Image

We drilled through it in 3-5 episode chunks, so much nicer  Now at s01e21. Finale series one episodes tomorrow due to RL stuffs.

But seriously, great show, if a little long-winded for me ocassionally (not enough kerpow, kerspalt sometimes, but traded off with good storyline and the "what's going to happen next?" appeal)...
I will be disappointed when we catch up with the rest of you bastards.

In the future bit, **when hiro jumps to after the bomb, petrelli seems to be fighting with one power at a time, telikenesis, timestop and ice powers (like the dude in x men). So I'd say you were on the money with your theory FJ.** There is also bound to be some sort of thing to do with the cockroach, Dr suresh mentions them as the pinnacle of evolution in I think the first episode. They seem to be dotted around the place quite often if you watch carefully.

Four days!!!! ftw

I feel the same sort of way a few of you lot do, i think the ending of the 1st season.. sorry 'chapter or volume' was very good, although everyone knew 6 episodes in that all the remaining heroes would have had to be in the same place at the same time, i can just about recall somebody saying 'we're useless alone' or something along them lines. So the ending was quite expectant yet still good so i wouldnt quite say anti climax, more satisfaction really.

I also believe that the key is in the title, Hiro is amazing, i think he definitly will play a key part throughout any amount of chapters and he will 'probably' be the only character that appears in all of them. I've read on NBC that there will be minimal follow through between chapters as they are all to be seperate stories. so 6 new characters it is for the 2nd leg and only 3 of them see the end ;) sorry :ninja:

Spoilers wrote:So, 6 new heroes, 3 of them we've met for certain, but Hero's father assasin could either be no 4, or someone we met breifly in series 1. Peters still alive, saw that comming from what future hero said about a scar in series 1, but where was it there?
Nice way to open the second series I think

response to Hehulk spoilers wrote:I think the image we saw of Peter was just Nathan "projecting" - I don't think was actually meant to be him. I have no doubt he is still alive, but I think the image in the mirror was more a psychological thing. Also future Hiro was from a future that never happened. Zomg, paradox. Then again, being able to bend time and space, there's nothing to say that future Hiro wasn't from an alternative dimension.

I was massively disappointed by the end of the first series, so I wasn't really expecting much - however it seems to be going well so far. I just hope they've whittled some of the shitter characters out (i.e. Nikki, DL etc)
