Hardcore.
Just to explain, I've mentioned to Bali that your magic, equipment, armour and weapons can take on any form you want, just to add flavour to your character.
Spells with vocal components can work off a trigger word of your choice, and somatic components with hand-movements of your choice.
A shortsword doesn't have to be a bog standard item, if it fits with your character, have it as an ornate family heirloom.
If your armour was passed down through generations maybe it has nocks in the pauldrons, and a dented helmet.
The pink rocket roars across the room and smacks the Orc in his chest, he stumbles, but he's still standing.
Thor next!

How close is the orc?

You can reach him in a turn using your move action, about 20ft away.

Ideal range! I'll shoot him with an arrow. Is this right?
Attack:
Roll(1d20)+5: (3 bonus, 1 Point Blank Shot @ < 30', 1 bard song)
19,+5
Total:24
Dam:
Roll(1d6)+2: (1 PBS, 1 bard song)
6,+2
Total:8

Yeah, you nail that sucka' right in the head, he jolts backwards and topples on top of one of the headless, naked goblin bodies he dealt with earlier.
That Inspire Courage and Point Blank Shot bonus is <a href="

The sole remaining goblin standing by his felled superior looks on in utter disbelief. Their tactic of hitting you with their spiky little maces was such a solid plan after all!
Corridor Goblins are all dead, so we skip to Orovan's turn.

Yeah, casting takes up your standard action, and you've moved during tour turn.
I think that means the infamous bard Glibberig is up now?

Right, instead of an offensive move I'm going to try persuasion.
Glibberig wrote:Stop! We're here to help.
Diplomacy:
Roll (1d20+5) = 16,+5 = 21
Smooth as an Elven princess' buttocks.

He lowers his mace a bit, but is still scowling as if you just killed all his mates.
Oh, wait.. You might have done that, yeah.
He speaks back to you in Orcish.
Goblin wrote:Help?! You are not helping!

Glibberig wrote:We're helping now by not killing you. We're kind people like that! And you know, there just aren't enough kind people in the world. The great Druid Wellwallan said that to me just after I saved his life you know. He said "Glibberig, there just aren't enough kind people in the world. I wish everyone was like you. The way you killed that legion of Bugbears just to save me was mightily impressive".
You know, he still owes me a favour or two for that. And come to think of it, you now owe me a favour too!
So, throw that nasty looking weapon down and tell us what's going on here. If you do I'll sing you a nice little song. Who knows, it might become so famous it gets back to your home town!

Hmm, give me another diplomacy check. 15 will make him more likely to do what you say and co-operate, a bit.

Quietly, in case the goblin speaks common.
Thoroar wrote:You do realize that warming up to them is more of a temporary solution, right? They will eventually return to their stealing ways.

Doh, unlucky. Well, he's not friendly, but he no longer wants to club your face in.
That might be because his buddy just got snipped in two by a massive beetle though.
Goblin wrote:What's going on? You stormed in here and started killing us!
He shakes his mace in the air and growls, as most people would surrounded by six of their dead allies.

Does he understand Common?
Thoroar wrote:Honestly, if we hadn't attacked you, would you have cooperated? Obviously not, since you were to afraid to go up against the will of the orc. Be glad that you're alive and do consider that we liberated you. Feel free to attack me, but you might want to look around you before you do anything stupid.

I'll continue to lie on the floor unconscious, but I'll try to be conspicuous.

I could give you some magic missiles if that'd make you happy.

Bits, for now!
Bali, some Goblins do, some don't. Depends where they were bought up and who they interacted with.
Mostly they're unintelligent little oiks that struggle to know how to speak even their own language.
Luckily, this one's a smarty-pants.
I'm a little out-numbered, I'm hardly going to attack you.
What is it you want? You want gold, huh? Do you really think we have gold?
