Yep, those of you with thermo-eyes can see through the sacking, but it doesn't really show you much. The door from the stairwell opens into where the lift is, but theres a door between that and the floor proper. Theres what looks to be more sacking over that, and although its not much thicker, its enough to make whatever is beyond that to indistinct to make out any detail.
You guys making straight for the bottom?

I'm pretty sure that's the plan though if we're going to do some serious looting we need to do that before we set the bomb. Still, IIRC our main goal is to see if we can get the generator operational again so we can turn the lights on.Joose wrote:Yep, those of you with thermo-eyes can see through the sacking, but it doesn't really show you much. ok, you get to the bottom of the stairs without incident. The stairwell door opens into a room with the lift shaft in it, and a large security door. The door is two metal sliding doors, that slide away from each other. They have been pushed mostly open: you can tell they have not been opened properly as the drive chain is visible across the top of the door, and its hanging free, broken.
You can just about see into the corridor through the door. The door opposite is closed. Its another metal, motorised door, with a small reinforced glass window.

As you leave the lift area into the corridor, you realise just *how* incredi-dark it is down here. Even with low light vision an the like, visibility is not great. Thankfully, the corridor looks pretty clear of crap, so you shouldn't be tripping over anything.
Turning left to make for the outer corridor, you can see the door to the security room dead ahead, slightly ajar. You notice that its swinging gently, as if something has moved it recently.
the other thing you all notice as you enter the corridor proper is the *godawfull* smell. Frank, in your army days you once had the joy of visiting a quite fresh mass grave, it smells quite similar down here. Chopper, the smell is kind of giving you flashbacks to your last ghoul incident. Somewhere around here is a lot of dead stuff, recent enough that it hasn't dried out, old enough that its gone wiffy.

Unless I'm picking up anything, I think I'll be dropping the Detect Enemies spell since the ghouls are probably unaware of our presence anyways so they wouldn't show up. In its place, I'll cast Clean Air horse 3, to put on the Focus.
Clean Air F3 (DV: 3)
Magic + Spellcasting (12 dice): 3 hits
Drain Resist: 5 hits
Also, I think I'll switch to astral perception quickly to see if there are any ghouls or whatnot in the security room.
