Well, Paddy's not in the stairwell where you left him, but it has been about an hour since.

I'll stay out of sight so that there is still some plausible deniability that I'm not a SLOP.
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
So far everyone else is also standing out of sight with you.

I suppose Hal is the only person who can speak to him - even if he knows he's an Op, at least he's met him before.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
er, hang on...don't we already know where the bad guys/stuff we are looking for is? Or at least have a good idea?
What we know:
Snappers are selling the stuff.
Snappers all hang out in the bar.
Some sort of facility/base of operations/whatever is under the bar.
Boss man was going to go look at the stuff.
Boss man never left the bar (that we know of).
Now, I admit the possibility that the Boss man went off to his meet up via some secret underground exit, but isn't it more likely that the stuff is under the bar, and they just told me it was going to take ages to organise so they didn't have to admit to a SLA Op that we were standing on it the whole time? I can go have another chat to the drunk if you like, but I don't think he knows shit.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
But ultimately it's the TT dudes we're looking for, and they're just supplying to the Snappers - we need to find where the Tek-Trex facility is. Presumably the Snapper boss is meeting with the TT guys later on this evening, but I don't know if that will be at the pub or at another location. If it's at another location (possibly the facility we're after) we need to know what the Snapper boss looks like so we can follow him.
The Snappers are just the peddlers who can be dealt with later, but for now we need the source. Unfortunately my ideas have run out after "follow the boss". Didn't Risikko mention something about them driving round in a specific van? We could try and find that in the meantime.

Time's ticking. Is anyone going to be doing anything while it passes?

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
My money is on staying here till either we spot an obvious outing, or its time for my meeting. If no one we can definitely identify comes out, we go ahead with the meeting, I go in and see if I can talk something out of them. If I don't, you guys come in and shoot their dicks off until someone talks. If *that* doesn't work, we can trawl through what is obviously a multilevel basement hideout, and see if there are any clues there.
I think drunk man is a dead lead, and besides, if we go after him we have to either not keep watch on the pub, or split the group. If we split the group and something kicks off...well, that would be bad.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Thinking this through, I still think we're going after the wrong people. I'm going back to drunk guy's apartment to see if he can tell us where the Tek-Trex guys have been coming from.
If he's not in the stairwell that deej left him in, I'm going to his apartment (with his autographed television set).

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
He's not in the stairwell, but banging on his door provokes movement from within. After a minute or so he answers in his pants, looking tired and still pissed.

I haven't got a problem with you, your local pub, or even the people who run it. I do, however, have a problem with people trying to make a new breed of Chrome Warriors - and I think you can help me.
The local pub you frequent will have seen some new faces recently. Probably business like and undoubtedly trying to sell...hardware. I need you to tell me everything you know about these people. What they look like, where they go and what they do. I understand they will be meeting with the pub's owner at some point this evening. Do you know where, and do you know where the owner is?
I also believe these new bloods may be doing business from the back of a van if you know what it looks like or where it goes.
You strike me as a resourceful fellow, streetwise and with a lot of nous. I bet you must have an impressive network of information built up.
