K'trr knocks politely on the nearest door that still looks occupied. Before anyone answers:K'Trr wrote:A wise suggestion! I shall engage some of the locals in dialogue!
Not sure if I should roll Interview or Diplomacy for that, but as they are both the same anyway:K'Trr, shouting wrote:Attention occupants! I am K'trr, Shaktar operative of SLA Industries! Do not be alarmed, me and my fellow team-mates simply wish to ask questions of you regarding the recent unpleasant occurrence involving your neighbour!

K'trr points at Ordley's place, just in case its not obvious what he is on about.K'trr, making expansive, friendly gestures (in a hueg suit of armour) wrote:Indeed! Greetings, tiny human!* My team-mates and I are investigating the disturbance that occurred. I understand that you have most likely already been interviewed by the Shiver officers, but a retelling of the tale may uncover fresh details! Can you help us in this matter?
*presuming it is a human.
He gestures you to just inside his door where several rounds appear to have penetrated the wall into his apartment.Bloke wrote:Oh yeah, the gunfight. Well I was kicking back watching Captain Contract a few nights ago, and all of a sudden all this, like, machinegun noise comes from outside. So I hit the deck like you see on TV, and dude I'm glad I did... Come in here and check this out!
Bloke wrote:They go all the way through that wall and into the next apartment. Man, I wish it was a hot chick next door and not a fat, sweaty dude now there's a hole there. Anyway, it's still pretty cool. So after all this shooting, it all goes quiet and there's some thumping and banging. I wanted to go take a look, but I'm not that dumb man so I got back on the couch and turned the TV up.
Say dude, can I get a picture taken with you?

Presuming someone will be taking the photo for us:K'trr wrote:Certainly, helpful human!
K'trr strikes a heroic "awesome SLA Op" pose. Ohh, I can use my fancy skill for this!
Telegenics: 8,6,+7 = 21. hurrah!
after the photo taking:
K'trr, to the rest of the team wrote:The human resident of this living area has shown me that several rounds of automatic fire from the disturbance penetrated both walls of his apartment. With sufficient forensic ability, it may be possible to analyse the holes, and the rounds fired, to triangulate their points of origin. This may give us clues to the number of assailants, and the positions fired from. I confess I do not have these skills.
K'trr, to the bloke wrote:Tell me human, is there anything about the human who lived there that you noticed? Anything out of the ordinary before this latest disturbance?
The photo is indeed awesome and the guy is well pleased.
He looks about the corridor.Bloke wrote:Oh yeah, Ordley. Dude, that guy's a badass. Normally I'd have to be fucking stupid to go mouthing off about him to a bunch of Ops, but since he's gone and you guys are cool..
Bloke wrote:That dude was into allsorts of bad shit. Weapons dealing I heard, but I didn't know the guy. I do know he was pretty tooled up though, and he sometimes has a few props or something with him if he thinks the heat's getting heavy. Sounds to me like they're your shooters, 'cos I think there were a couple around recently. Sorry dude, but I didn't ever see 'em though. Oh yeah, there's something else! Dude was a sucker for a hooker, y'know? What else is an ugly dude with lots of money gonna do to pick up chicks?

Compy Use: 6,4 + 4 = 14Excellent work Cutter. I just have one suggestion though. Next time, do not announce that we're SLA Operatives quite so loudly, especially this close to the CS walls. I'm sure it's not a coincidence that the same ops we're trying to find got shot at in this very place. Not everyone will be as welcoming as that man was. Still that's some very good information. I shall look up any known brothels or hooker hangouts in the area.

punkchuck, generally these interviews are all how you Role Play it. Your ability to get answers is all in how you ask questions. The only time you'd need to make a roll is if you're trying to do something that opposes the NPC's will, for example trying to intimidate someone into giving you information, or charming someone into giving you information. If you're just talking, it's a safe assumption that you won't need any rolls. Dog Pants will let you know if you do need to make a roll as well.
Good rule of thumb though, if it sounds like one of your skills, go ahead and make a roll for it. Otherwise just go with it.

Phoebe wrote:Soo... don't ask me why I know about brothels and stuff, but I think I may know about a few near the wall that Ordley could have frequented. Maybe I can lead the way if we are done here.
Phoebe twiddles her thumbs and looks around hoping her information helps and that the other squad members don't get the wrong idea about her. No one should judge you on your past anyway..
Street wise (2) 6+8= 16
Detect (4) 7+7= 18
Yeah, you've an idea of what you're looking for (streetwise was the one you were after there) and could lead the squad to the right places. The Wall Shivers are usually there because they faced jail for something otherwise, and they have a tough life. It's not surprising when you know a bit about them that they follow similar habits to the criminals.
