Well Nikolai, looks like we'll have to leave Pappa P for now. He's busy busy busy. You should definitely meet up with him after this though.

I guess we head back to the armoury now. I'll start a search for some AK mods and we can give them all a clean and service whilst we wait on the others.

Assuming we make it to Franks by the end of day one with Chopper navigating :P

Don't think there is anything else I want to check out today, will save investigations for the club the day after

While waiting for Al to let me know we need to go to the club previously specified, I'll go out and buy a whisky flask (I'd like to spend about 50 nuyen) and a decent bottle of scotch (spending about 75 nuyen).

And some nuts. Pistachios for preference - I like piling the shells up.

Maybe a magazine to pass the time.

See if you can get a pack of cards too.

Check out the bargain shelf whilst you're there, you can get a tin of dented beans for practically nothing.

Any of you guys want Leland to you something from the shops?

At armoury with Frank, looking at things to add to my things.
It all looks very, very shiny.

I'll buy a data search program for my OS so I can get better results looking for stuff. I'll also buy chinatown and a docks sector mapsofts.

Should be ¥40 for the two maps at rating 4 and ¥250 for the search program also rating 4. (If I don't need the search program for the mod rolls but it makes it easier/faster I'll buy it anyway, my own data search skills are weak.)

Joose/TSD - I'm guessing here at it being a test rolling my browse program rating + my search program rating? I figure this from the arsenal book bit about weapon mods on p128 - Characters can obtain plans from the Matrix using a Browse + Data Search Extended Test with an interval of 1 minute and a threshold equal to the threshold of the modification test.
Frank wrote:Hey all. Still no word from N-zo and I need to get this thing with my pan looked at. Do any of you know who could track this down on the real quiet time over the net? I'm talking super hush hush, old friends, trusted contacts kinda thing.

I've got the feeling on this one that shit will hit the fan before we even smell the stink.

I'll kick off a search for AK blueprints and any related popular mods that up fire rate/reliability/accuracy etc.
Frank wrote:Nikolai, I'll just kick of the computer searching for some mods we can do on your guns. We'll see what they turn up in a bit. For now, we'll strip them down and give them a clean and polish. Make sure they're in tip top condition.

Data search is a skill in the electronics group. You can default on it.

I have it as a skill at level 1. But if I can use a search program to do it that does a better job then I'd rather pay. I don't see the point in a data search program other than what it's name implies, but I don't know if a program can be substitued for a skill when they do the same thing.

I think you may have it a bit backwards there Pete. The program is called "Browse", and its like a search engine thingy. "Data Search" is the skill that you use with Browse. You have the Browse program, and the Data Search skill.

Also, you do need to decide on the modification you are looking for before you look. The threshold of the test tells you when you have successfully found things, and if you don't know what you are looking for, you don't know the threshold.

Course, you don't actually *need* a plan to do a mod, it just makes it easier. Simple mods like barrel extensions and the like should be easy enough sans-plan.

Right, I've got a browse program. it's rating 3 I think. I possibly should up my data search skill. Shouldn't have saved those 2 karma. :shakefist:

If Grimmie wants mods on the guns then I'll look for one of them and possibly look for an augmented reality plan so I can load it in to my ar display on the workbench.

Grimmie, you want me to mod your guns? I guess you'll want to wait to decide until you can have a look through the supplemental armoury book.

Just the ¥40 for the maps then.

Me too, oddly.

There's not a lot for me to do until tonight, so I'll just kick back for a bit. Maybe help Leland pick out a nice single malt. I'll pass on what I've found to the others too.

After returning with his whisky, Leland decides to try out his Sperethiel some more as he doesn't currently have much contact with elvish peoples.
Leland calling N-zo wrote:Hey N-zo, how are your investigations coming? I was just curious and getting status updates from everyone.

Also, did you get a chance to ask your fence about the SIN?
