Gosh I'm such a chick, I worry about everything.
But what was the ambush and the gunfire all about? I know I am still new but I do know a little bit about the Darknight and the Threshers. I wonder if there is some sort of connection between the two.

You've never heard of DarkNight and Thresher working together before, but then again you've never heard of them fighting each other either.
Shiver Lt wrote:Oh yeah, Ordley. Looks like the squad were on the way to his apartment when they were ambushed. Bastard's been selling DarkNight weapons for years we think, but we've never managed to pin him down. This squad were supposed to prove it and put a stop to him, and it's taken a long time to get that BPN issued. When we went round though his place was empty. Yeah, not seen any of them since. Apart from the Ebon, who's downstairs in the morgue.

Phoebe to team wrote: Forgive me you guys if wrong, but I'm thinking Ordley didn't keep all those arms just laying around his apartment anyway, and I'm thinking it may have been a deal that had gone bad... You know, maybe he got in some sort of conflict of interest? It seems so well planned, maybe someone other than 10kRad was investigating him too.

Should we interview any of the residents who were kicked out of their apartments to see if they know anything more, say like who actually kicked them out? Did we check what sort of gunfire actually killed Melody?
Phoebe looks around at everyone and wonders if she is being a bit too inquisitive. She'll just stand back now and see what the experts think. :)

Heh, you're doing fine. Good questions and fair assumptions. Of course you'll have to follow them up to see if they bear fruit :)

OK, so you don't know what happened to Ordley or where he absconded to? I think there's a good chance then if we can find Ordley, we can find out what happened to the rest of 10,000 Rads. Interviewing the people in the apartment building should be a good first step.

Lieutenant, what information do you have on Ordley? Hang outs, associates, that sort of thing?

Well I guess we can't have it too easy, heh. Maybe we can get his neighbors to talk.

After that I reckon we head over to the apartment block see what we can see.
Personal thoughts are that Thresher aren't involved with this particular deal - I think our encounter with them earlier was just part of the rich and bloody tapestry that is life on Mort.

I've got nothing but vague hunches at the moment, but I reckon we might start to build a better picture once we've been to the apartments. For all intents and purposes we're on two BPNs: the first is to find the 10k Rads squad, but we'll probably have better luck finding them if we follow lines of inquiry relating to the BPN they were on.

I tend to agree. I'm thinking that our encounter was more just an introduction to Thresher, as we've never so much as heard their name spoken so far. Plus, it's a bloody good entry.

I still think you could've taken them down on your own...

With sufficient cover yeah I could have. The problem is eventually they'd probably hit me, and the bullets that Thresher use would almost kill me with like 2 hits.

Assuming we're allowed to examine Melody I'll do a roll.

Don't see why not. Her Deathsuit has been removed, and she seems to have been killed by multiple 10mm HESH wounds.

There's not really anything else to see. Sorry to waste a good roll.

God damn I know that's going to come back and bite on the bottom when combat starts :(

Yeah sounds good to me, let's go.

Pressing on then. The shootings happened on the eigth floor of a residential block not far from the CS1 wall. At the scene you can immediately see there's been a spot of bother here. Bullet holes riddle the walls, and large patches of blood on the floor would indicate that Melody wasn't the only person to die here. Dirk notices that the bullet patterns look like whoever was in the middle was caught in a crossfire.
