My sheets must be out a little then. That's not particularly surprising.

OK, are you guys going to try to contact KT or should I head over into Downtown for some recon?

Hmm, not sure the best way to proceed with the KT without Tezz - we need someone who can blend into a local bar and do some discreet asking around.

There's not a lot in the way of BPNs involving KT - SLA prefers to stay out of the way of gangs and let them do their thing within reason. I can provide a nice writeup on KT if that's useful to you, but it might be a little lengthy (couple of paragraphs taken from my GM guide).

As for Slap and Tickle, they're a part of Skin Trade. Skin Trade are the most notorious human traffickers on Mort, and very little is known about them. So little, in fact, that conspiracy theories are rife among Downtowners and anyone else stupid enough to voice them about SLA involvement.

Hmm, bums.

Well if we can assume that Spindle goes with Deej, Grimmie do you mind accompanying me round the various <strike>porn</strike> pawn shops?

Spindle can indeed go with Deej, but without Tezz's contribution you're unlikely to get much from the interaction other than facts.

Roight, assuming Deej has been able to provide me with with directions to the nearest pawn broker...
Dirk wrote:Shop keeper! Ah hello my good man. I wonder if you may be of some assistance? I have misplaced some of my equipment - tracking bugs, monitoring equipment etc - and I'm looking to replace it on the cheap. I don't particularly like calling them in as "lost" because the boss tends to ask a lot of questions. Plus the paperwork is an almighty pain in the posterior.

Got any that might fit the bill?
I'll do a Persuasion roll as well, just in case:

Just to clarify, are you still in Suburbia, or Downtown?

If you're in Suburbia you get all your furniture back after a couple of hours of persuasion and humping stuff about, but that's all they've got.

The pawnbrokers in downtown don't have your furniture. However, if you head towards the Warren looking for pawnbrokers you get a little more than that. Asking around for a while, you eventually find an area of old industrial tunnels that don't look like they've been used since the fall of Salvation Tower. Within them are hundreds of small market stalls, stands, or just people selling stuff out of their bag.

I stopped looking for my furniture, just looking for SLA gear now - basically these market things is what I was looking for. Can I just re-phrase my above question and roll to the nearest likely looking stall holder?

Marketeer wrote:Hahaha, got some wayward gear huh? Well I got nothin' myself, but it ain't unusual to see company stuff comin' though here. That includes Slops, but since you're such a rarity, and by that I mean you didn't stick a gun in my face, I'll let you in on a few trade secrets. First off, keep bein' nice. Word gets around when assholes start asking questions and your stuff'll be gone before you get there. If you see those other two guys around pass the word on to them. Second, don't concern yourself with stuff that ain't yours. You might persuade a guy to part with some merchandise if he thinks it's yours, but if you start actin' like a Shiver he'll start treatin' you like one. Third, we don't want no beef wit the company, but there's a lot of props and gangers about who aren't scared of you guys. Most o' the traders'll play nice if you do, but don't think it's 'cos they's scared of ya.

So. Whaddya need? I got the latest SLAve Boy games consoles, straight outta Orienta. Only 200u.

The information you've provided has been most helpful - much appreciated. Any idea who might sell some of the stuff I was looking for? Also, who were the other two people you mentioned - have other slo...I mean ops been through here asking similar questions?

Like I say you've been very helpful so far, but I don't suppose you'd be able to give me one more nugget of information? I'm looking for details on a gang known as Mamas Boys, led my Mama Krutch. Have you heard of them?

Marketeer wrote:Yeah I heard o' the Mamma's Boys but that's all I'm sayin' about them. Those kids are mean, like Hallowe'en Jack mean. I dunno who might have your gear. Just ask around I guess. The further down you get the, erm, more exotic the wares get. And those other two guys? Yeah they were SLA. One o' those guys wit the black eyes, an' a Frother. They were askin' about Mamma Krutch too, so maybe you guys can compare notes.
