Let's just go and give the ground floor a quick once over - we see anything, I'll hit it.

Chopper wrote:This storage area looks pretty wide open, not many hiding places. Let's check out these two security rooms round here first, see what you can pick up.
Also, rolls done:
Building Structures - 2 die: 5, 1 (1 hit)
Safe Houses - 2 die: 1, 3 (no hits)
Infiltration + Agility - 8 die: 2,5,5,2,4,6,5,6 (5 hits)
For character reference, although he swings his arms about and marches about the place like he's trying to get to the bar, Chopper is a quiet and sneaky bastard.

Right, I have been informed by Joose that I need to make some rolls.
Perception + Intuition (3 + 4): 2 hits
Assensing + Charisma (4 + 4): 4 hits
Leland wrote:I dunno Chopper, I get the feeling what I sense is something a bit more ethereal and lucid than a ghoul. I hope it isn't a fucking ghost. I hate ghosts.
Also, I totally forgot to ask, but what can I figure out from my Security Design knowledge?

I don't want to meet a ghost
It's the thing I fear the most
Rather have a piece of toast

What rolls would we need to make to drag something from our memories about ghosts?

I remember this:
John Freeman then looked on the ground and found wepon so he pickd it up and fired fast at zombie goasts in front of a house.
John Freeman said “Zombie goasts leave this place” and the zombie goasts said “but this is our house” and John Freeman felt sorry for them becaus they couldnt live there anymore because they were zombie goasts so he blew up the house and killed the zombie goasts so they were at piece.
Seems we have to blow the goasts up and make them at peice.

Hmm. Well, unless any of you guys took "goasts" as a knowledge skill, I guess it would be a default test, so just make a roll on your logic attribute.

Maybe it's a
Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot.
In either case can we get on with tracking and eliminating whatever enemy I'm detecting?

Right! First off, Goast knowledge:
none of you know shit, apart from deject and frank, both of which pretty much know what it says in the books. Ghosts (aka Spirits of Man) are a bit of a contentious subject in magical circles. Are they the lingering presence of dead people? are they just spirits, like spirits of the forest or spirits of Bear? Fuck knows. Maybe the ghosts do, but they aint telling.
More usefully: goasts are pretty similar to other spirits. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and powers, and are frequently difficult to spot on the physical plane (they are sometimes pretty tricky buggers in astral too). Generally they are not intentionally nasty: unless they have been summoned they will just bumble about being a bit random. Of course, their random activity might go bad if you piss them off: think that ghost in the library in Ghostbusters.
Of course, in a place like this, it could well be a Harrow: a Toxic Spirit of Man. Hope that it isn't.
On to the tracking:
Chopper notices that some of the bits of dilapidation in the building look a bit funny. Theres holes where there is no reason for a hole to be, and walls that have fallen over a little as if they have been pushed. The only explanation you can think of is that someone has been making it slightly easier to get up to the roof.
Deject, a combo of your looking about, astral perception and your detect enemies spell makes it look like whatever it is seems to have gone straight past you and out the front entrance. Theres a bit of a "scent" in astral space that makes you think its passed you by a couple of feet, in full view, only moments ago. Curiously, at that moment, the tracking spell was reading the something its reading as quite far away. Its currently reading it as probably just inside the buildings perimeter.

Well it's definitely a spirit though I don't know what kind it is. I think it probably would have attacked us by now if it could have. My guess, based on what we've seen so far, it's probably a victim of this place. The voices we heard was probably the spirit trying to communicate with us, maybe tell us what happened. I think the kid was being experimented on. What kind of sick fucks were running this place? More to the point I don't think the spirit is hostile just because, I think it's scared. It might be worth trying to communicate with, and let it know we aren't the bad guys.
